Work 6 rows GARTER ST – see above – and continue in stocking st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 10 cm dec 1 st each side, and repeat the dec each side on every 7-7-8-8-9-9 cm a total of 4 times = 77-85-91-99-111-121 sts. When piece measures 36-37-38-39-40-41 cm, adjust so that next row is from RS, work 4 rows garter st on all sts, then cast on new sts at the end of every row each side as follows: 3 sts 3 times, 6 sts 2 times and 49-45-42-45-39-34 st 1 time = 217-217-217-231-231-231 sts. INCORPORATE INC STS IN PATTERN AS YOU GO ALONG (work sts in M.1/M.2/M.3 in stocking until they fit into pattern) – as seen from beg of row from RS when all sts have been cast on: 5 garter sts, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.1, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.2, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.2 (= mid back), P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.1, P 9-9-9-10-10-10 , K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.2, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, 5 garter sts. Continue in pattern like this until piece measures 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm, now cast off the middle 27-27-27-29-29-29 sts for neck and complete each shoulder/sleeve separately. Cast off 1 st on neckline on next row = 94-94-94-100-100-100 sts left on shoulder/sleeve. Cast off when piece measures 70-72-74-76-78-80 cm.

When piece measures 10 cm dec at the side as described for back piece = 25-29-32-35-41-46 sts. When piece measures 36-37-38-39-40-41 cm – adjust so that next row is from RS – work 4 rows garter st on all sts, then cast on new sts at the side as described for back piece = 95-95-95-101-101-101 sts. INCORPORATE INC STS IN PATTERN AS YOU GO ALONG – as seen from beg of row from RS, i.e. from mid front: 1 edge st, P1, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.1, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.2, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, K3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, M.3, P 9-9-9-10-10-10, 5 garter sts. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 10 cm / 4'' dec 1 st each side, .... can you explain this whole paragraph . When to decrease. And which st do I decrease . What do you mean by Dec every 7-7 cm. Iam a beginner .this is my first time knitting a sweater.

DROPS Design 16.07.2018 kl. 09:20:

Dear Samar, you will decrease 2 sts per row (= 1 st at the beg of row + 1 st at the end of row) a total of 4 times every 7 cm (in first and 2nd size) = you will decrease a total of 2 sts x 4 = 8 sts - 85 sts - 8 sts dec = 77 sts remain in 1st size/ 93 - 8 = 85 sts remain in 2nd size). Dec after 1st st and before last st from RS. Happy knitting!

Katrine Kristoffersen 27.06.2013 - 18:08:

Hei. Takk for svar.

DROPS Design 27.06.2013 kl. 19:14:

Ja, det stemmer

Lisa 14.06.2013 - 10:57:

Man ökar ju inte utan lägger upp nya maskor åt sidorna!

Katrine Kristoffersen 13.06.2013 - 19:08:

Drops Design 08.09.2011 - 11:04:
