Knitted DROPS pot holders in ”Muskat Soft”.

POT HOLDER NO 1:
Size: Approx 21 cm in diameter.
Materials: DROPS MUSKAT SOFT from Garnstudio
For 1 pot holder: 50 g colour no 03, blue/purple.

DROPS POINTED NEEDLES size 2.5 mm - or size needed to get 23 garter sts = width 10 cm.

POT HOLDER NO 2:
Size: Approx 22 cm in diameter.
Materials: DROPS MUSKAT SOFT from Garnstudio
For 1 pot holder: 50 g colour no 06, blue.

DROPS POINTED NEEDLES size 2.5 mm - or size needed to get 23 garter sts = width 10 cm.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 3 mm – for border.

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
POT HOLDER 1:
Cast on 25 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with blue/purple. Leave approx 30 cm thread end, and use this to tighten pot holder tog – tighten as you go along to make measuring easier. K 1 row from WS and continue in garter st. i.e. K all rows. AT THE SAME TIME work turns as follows:
*Work 1 row on the first 5 sts, turn and work return row. Work 1 row on the first 10 sts, turn and work return row. Work 1 row on the first 15 sts, turn and work return row. Work 1 row on the first 20 sts, turn and work return row. Work 1 row on all sts, turn and work return row *, repeat from *-*. Work a total of approx 32 full repeats (piece should form a full circle). K 1 row from RS on all sts. On next row work strap as follows: Work row until 2 sts remain, cast on 15 new sts, K tog the last 2 sts. On next row cast off all sts (also sts on strap). Sew cast off row to cast on row, edge to edge.

POT HOLDER 2:
Worked back and forth on needle.
Cast on 23 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with blue. Continue in garter st, i.e. K all rows. AT THE SAME TIME work turns as follows:
Work 1 row on all sts, * turn, work return row until 1 st remain, turn and work return row until 2 sts remain, turn and work return row until 3 sts remain, turn and work return row. Continue like this with 1 more st remaining before each turn until return row is worked on only 1 st, turn and work this 1 st, work 2 rows on all sts *, repeat from *-* a total of 6 times – NOTE: In the last repeat only work 1 row on all sts and then cast off. Sew cast off row to cast on row, edge to edge.

CROCHET BORDER:
Crochet round pot holder with crochet hook size 3 mm with blue as follows: 1 dc in first st, * 3 ch, 1 dc in the first ch (= 1 picot), skip approx 3 sts, 1 dc *, repeat from *-* round the whole pot holder, and finish with 20 ch (= strap), fasten strap with 1 sl st in pot holder, crochet 1 sl st in each ch round strap, cut and fasten thread.

Bei der Häkelkante von Topflappen2 Hat sich ein kleiner Fehler eingeschlichen!! Nachdem Sternchen *3Lm, 1 ... in die erste LM 1was?????
