PONCHO: Worked in the round on circular needle from bottom up.
Cast on 288-312-336-360 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with dark brown mix and work rib, K2/P4. When piece measures 4-5-6-7 cm / 1½"2"-2 3/8"-2 3/4" dec all P4 to P3 = 240-260-280-300 sts. Change to circular needle size 6 mm / US 10 and continue in M.1 (= 24-26-28-30 repeats across the round). REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When M.1 is complete there are 72-78-84-90 sts on needle and piece measures approx 44-45-46-47 cm / 17 1/4"-17 3/4"-18"-18½". Deb 20.03.2019 - 16:07:

Hello, Does the "dec all P4 to P3" instruction mean that the first 2 stitches of the P4 in the rib are P2 together? Thank you for the clarification.

DROPS Design 20.03.2019 kl. 18:19:

Dear Deb, it means exactly that. If you need to decrease more than once, it looksbetter, if you alternately decrease at the beginning and the end of teh P stitches, but id you only need to so it once, then P2TOG the first two stitches in every P4. Happy Knitting!

Sonja 11.03.2017 - 15:51:

Mvh Sonja

DROPS Design 13.03.2017 kl. 12:03:

Hej Sonja. Nej, det betyder at du strikker 2 m ret sammen = 1 m taget ind.

Sonja 11.03.2017 - 11:00:

Hej, lige for at være helt sikker, betyder; 2 r sm = 2 retmasker samles? Altså her tages der ind? Tak, for hjælpen.

Eileen 01.01.2016 - 17:37:

I had scrap yarn in my stash that wasn't the weight/gauge of Alaska, it was worsted weight. I needed to double the design because it wasn't long enough & reversed the colors when I did the pattern a 2nd time. It looks amazing & fits well. Now that my scrap yarn stash is gone I'll do another in Alaska.

Corinne Mosimann 09.11.2014 - 19:53:

DROPS Design 28.10.2014 kl. 20:16:

76 R entsprechen ca. 40 cm in der Höhe. Viel Spaß beim Stricken!

Maes Willy 06.01.2014 - 18:40:

Melitta Wicht 04.01.2014 - 11:20:

Carol Stocker 30.10.2012 - 00:30:

The sizes s, m, l. etc are given but could you be more specific in cm. or inches to the finished sizes . thankyou

DROPS Design 13.11.2012 kl. 15:58:

Dear Mrs Stocker, you will find at the very bottom of the pattern the measurement chart in cm, and under the US-english pattern, you will find also finished measurements under size. Happy Knitting !
