Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. CROCHET INFO: Replace first dc on each row with 3 ch. Finish each row with 1 dc in 3rd ch from beg of previous row.

INCREASING TIP: Inc 1 dc by working 1 extra dc in last but one dc.

DECREASING TIP:
Dec as follows at beg of row: replace 1 dc with 1 sl st.
Dec as follows at the end of row: turn piece when number of dc to be dec remain, and work return row.

BUTTONHOLES: Make buttonholes on right front band by replacing 1 dc with 1 ch. On return row work 1 dc round ch.
Make buttonholes when piece measures – from bottom edge:
SIZE S: 15, 9 and 2 cm / 6”, 3½” and 3/4’’.
SIZE M: 16, 9 and 2 cm / 6¼”, 3½” and 3/4’’.
SIZE L: 17, 9 and 2 cm / 6¾”, 3½” and 3/4’’.
SIZE XL: 18, 10 and 2 cm / 7”, 4” and 3/4’’.
SIZE XXL: 19, 10 and 2 cm / 7½”, 4” and 3/4’’.

BACK PIECE:
SEE CROCHET INFO! Work 109-121-134-149-166-184 loose ch (includes 4 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3 mm / C and Alpaca. Work first row as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, and continue as follows: * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 4 ch *, repeat from *-* until 3-0-3-3-0-3 ch remain, skip 1 ch, work 1 dc in each of the remaining 2-0-2-2-0-2 ch = 86-96-106-118-132-146 dc, turn piece. Continue with 1 dc in each dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! AT THE SAME TIME from row 2 inc 1 dc each side – SEE INCREASING TIP – on every 1.5-1.5-1.5-2-2-2 cm / ½”-½”-½”-3/4”-3/4”-3/4” a total of 7 times = 100-110-120-132-146-160 dc. When piece measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm / 5 1/8’’-5½’’-6’’-6¼’’-6¾’’-7’’ dec for armhole each side on every other row as follows – SEE DECREASING TIP: 4 dc 0-0-1-1-1-1 times, 3 dc 1-1-1-2-3-3 times, 2 dc 1-2-2-3-4-7 times and 1 dc 1-2-2-2-3-3 times = 88-92-94-96-98-100 dc. When piece measures 30-32-34-36-38-40 cm / 11¾’’-12½’’-13 3/8’’-14¼’’-15’’-15¾” work 3 rows on 30-30-30-30-30-30 dc each side only (i.e. do not work the middle 28-32-34-36-38-40 dc = neckline). Cut and fasten the thread, piece measures approx 32-34-36-38-40-42 cm / 12½’’-13 3/8’’-14¼’’-15’’-15¾’’-16½’’.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Work 61-68-74-81-90-99 loose ch (includes 4 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 3 mm/US C and Alpaca. Work first row as follows: 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, and continue as follows: * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 4 ch *, repeat from *-* until 0-2-3-0-4-3 ch remain, skip 1 ch, work 1 dc in each of the remaining 0-1-2-0-3-2 ch = 48-53-58-64-71-78 dc, turn piece. Continue with 1 dc in each dc, AT THE SAME TIME inc at the side as described for back piece = 55-60-65-71-78-85 dc. When piece measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm / 5 1/8’’-5½’’-6’’-6¼’’-6¾’’-7’’ dec for armhole at the side as described for back piece. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 16-17-18-19-20-21 cm / 6¼’’-6¾’’-7’’-7½’’-8’’-8¼’’ dec for neckline towards mid front as follows – SEE DECREASING TIP:
1 dc on every row a total of 19-21-22-23-24-25 times. When all dec are complete there are 30-30-30-30-30-30 dc on row. Continue until piece measures approx 32-34-36-38-40-42 cm / 12½’’-13 3/8’’-14¼’’-15’’-15¾’’-16½’’– adjust to back piece – cut the thread.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Like left front piece, but mirrored.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew shoulder seams, edge to edge, and sew side seams in the same way.

BORDER ROUND ARMHOLE:
Beg mid under arm. Crochet a border round both armholes with crochet hook size 3 mm / C and Alpaca as follows: 1 sc, * 3 ch, skip approx 0,5 cm / 1/4’’, 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in sc from beg of round.

FRONT BANDS:
Work approx 200 to 250 dc up along right front piece, round neckline and down along left front piece with crochet hook size 3 mm / C and Alpaca. Work 3 rows with 1 dc in each dc AT THE SAME TIME on row 2 make BUTTONHOLES on right front piece – see above. Sew on buttons to fit buttonholes.

BORDER ALONG BOTTOM EDGE:
Work approx 177 to 302 sc (divisible by 5 + 2 sts) along bottom edge with crochet hook size 3 mm / C and Alpaca. Continue as follows:
ROW 1: 1 dc in first sc, * 1 ch, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc *, repeat from *-*.
ROW 2: 1 sc in each dc and 1 sc round each ch.
ROW 3: 1 sc in each sc.
ROW 4: 1 dc in each of the first 2 sc, * 4 ch, skip 3 sc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc *, repeat from *-*.
ROW 5: 1 dc in first dc, * 6 dc round ch-loop from previous row, 2 ch, skip 2 dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 6 dc in the last ch-loop and 1 dc in last dc from previous row.
ROW 6: 1 dc in first dc, * 5 ch, 2 dc round ch from previous row *, repeat from *-* and finish with 5 ch and 1 dc in last dc from previous row.
ROW 7: 1 sc in first dc, * 5 sc round ch-loop from previous row, 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 5 sc round the last ch-loop and 1 sc in last dc from previous row.
ROW 8: 1 sc in first sc, * 3 ch, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-*. Cut the thread and fasten.

Hallo, ik ben nog niet zo'n ervaren haakster, dus heb ik een vraagje over het minderen. Wat bedoelen jullie als er staat 0-0-1-1-1-1 x 4 stk en bij het volgende 1-1-1-2-3-3 x 3 stk? Alvast bedankt.

Hoi Sabine. Dat betreft de verschillende maten. Bijvoorbeeld 0 keer 4 stk en 1 keer 3 stk moet haken voor maat S en 1 keer 4 stk en 1 keer 3 stk moet haken voor maat L.

Bonjour Karine, on forme l'emmanchure sur le côté comme pour le dos (information ajoutée) soit 55B - 6 B = 49- 19 pour l'encolure = il reste 30 B pour l'épaule. Bon crochet!

Bonjour, j'ai l'impression que les calculs sont faux après les diminutions. Pour la taille S par exemple on a 100B, on doit diminuer de 4B de chaque côté, ce qui ferait un total restant de 92B alors qu'il en faut 88 dans les explications. Idem pour les côtés: 55B avant diminution, on demande de diminuer de 19B et il doit rester 30B, mais 55-19=36B. Y a t'il quelque chose que je n'aurais pas compris ou y a t'il des erreurs ? Je vous remercie par avance !

Bonjour Karine, il y a avait effectivement une erreur, il faut diminuer pour les emmanchures ainsi: 0-0-1-1-1-1 fois 4 B, 1-1-1-2-3-3 fois 3 B (et non pas 1 B), 1-2-2-3-4-7 fois 2 B et 1-2-2-2-3-3 fois 1 B = il on diminue bien 12 B en taille S, il reste 88 B. Merci. Bon crochet!
