Mvh

Hi ! Thanks for the pattern. I am knitting for my daughter, I am at the armhole. As I am sort of a beginner, could you explain better what it means to bind off "3 sts 1 times, 2 sts 1-2-2-3 times and 1 st 3-2-2-2 times" ? Does each "time" mean row? I can't understand and neither find tutorials online for this step. Thanks!
04.10.2020 - 21:34DROPS Design answered:
Hei Federica, Yes, binding off every 2nd row: The first row you bind off 3 stitches on each side (for both armholes) then 1 row without binding off, bind off 2 stitches on each side on the next row and so on. Hope this helps and happy knitting!

The diagram shows the pattern from the RS. Front piece: Cast on 46-54-58-66 sts (incl 1 edge st each side) on needle size 4.5 mm with Karisma. Change to needle size 3.5 mm and knit in Rib with 1 edge st each side. When piece measures 2 cm knit 2 rows of garter sts. Change to needle size 4.5 mm and continue in stocking sts. Remember the knitting tension! At the same time when piece measures 19-21-22-24 cm cast off the middle 10-12-12-14 sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times = 6-8-10-11 sts left for each shoulder. Back piece: Cast on and knit as done for front piece, but do not knit the pattern. Cast off for armholes as done for front piece =30-36-40-44 sts. Continue until piece measures 23-25-27-29 cm. Then cast off the middle 16-18-18-20 sts for neck and dec 1 st towards the neck on next row = 6-8-10-11 sts left for the shoulder. Right shoulder (when worn): Cast off all sts when the piece measures 24-26-28-30 cm (buttonhole band to be added later). Left shoulder: Cast off all sts when the piece measures 25-27-29-31 cm. Assembly: Left armhole (when worn).: Sew the left shoulder seam. Pick up 46-62 sts (divisible with 4 +2) from the RS along the left armhole on needles size 3.5 mm with Karisma. Sew the left side seam up to the edge of the armhole. Right armhole: Sew the side seam. Pick up 42-54 sts (divisible with 4 + 2) from the top of the shoulder along the right armhole: on needle size 3.5 mm with Karisma. Knit 2 rows of garter sts beginning from the WS edge and continue with 5 rows of Rib with 1 edge st each side. Cast off loosely with K mover K and P over P.
