At the same time when the piece measures 5 cm = 2" inc 1 st each side on every 2.5-2-2.5-2.5 cm = 1”-3/4"-1”-1” a total of 4-5-5-7 times = 32-36-38-42 sts. When the sleeve measures 15-16-18-22 cm = 6"-6 1/4"-7"-8 3/4" bind off 3 sts each side = 26-30-32-36 sts. Knit the other sleeve. Yoke: Put pieces on the same circular needle size 5.5 MM = US 9 as follows: Right front piece, sleeve, back piece, sleeve, left front piece = 119-135-148-167 sts. Continue over the band sts in garter sts as explained earlier. At the same time after 4 rows of garter sts dec 8-8-9-10 sts evenly distributed on every 1.5 cm = 1/2" a total of 8-9-10-10 times (dec from the RS on every 4th and 6th rows of garter sts alternately) NB: Do not dec over the front bands. At the same time when the piece measures 23-26-29-32 cm = 9"-10 1/4"-11 3/8"-12 1/2" bind off 5 sts each side mid front towards the neck and dec 1 st to shape the neckline each side on every other row 3-4-4-5 times. When the piece measures 27-30-33-36 cm = 10 5/8"-11 3/4"-13"-14 1/4" dec 15-19-14-17 sts evenly distributed. After all dec are complete = 24-26-26-30 sts left on row. Knit 2 rows of garter sts and leave the sts on the needle. Assembly: Collar: Pick up 40-60 sts around the neck (incl the sts from the needle), with 2 threads of Pelliza on circular needle size 5.5 MM = US 9. Knit back and forth in garter sts for 9 cm = 3 1/2" and bind off loosely. Sew the side and the sleeve seams inside the edge st and sew in the buttons. |
