Has anyone figured out the pattern. I am stuck on the diagram portion and have tried multiple ways that I think it could be but it just doesn't look right or fit right! Has anyone written out the instructions or can help me understand them?
09.02.2014 - 01:57DROPS Design answered:
Dear Angela, each symbol is written under diagram text. On row with the arrow start work: 4 ch, 1 tr in sl st from previous round, *7 ch, in next sc work: 1 tr, 2 ch, 1 tr* repeat from *-* and finish with 7 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Happy crocheting!

Buon lavoro!!

Dear Mrs Ray, in the diag each symbol represents 1 st, just follow with diag text and do not hesitate to request help from your Drops store or a crochet forum. Happy crocheting!

I love these wrist warmers, I saw in one of the pictures it had a thumb section. Please can you advise me how to put this in. Many Thanks Nicola
26.09.2013 - 21:17DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Creaton, looking at the picture in Ravelry, you can skip some sts when you reach the thumb and replace them by some ch, then continue mitten around and work thumb afterwards. You may also aks the crocheter in Ravelry about how she did. Happy crocheting!

Pattern: See diagram M.1. Shell pattern (= M.1) is worked in stripes with 2 rows in the same color. Crochet tip: Replace first tr on round with 4 ch and first sc with 1 ch. Finish each round with 1 sl st in first tr/sc from beg of round. WRIST WARMERS Crochet 40 ch with crochet hook size 4.5 mm [US 7] and gray and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. See Crochet tip! Round 1: 1 sc in each ch, but skip every 5th ch = 32 sc. Now crochet following rounds with 1 st in each st as follows: 1 round with tr, 1 round with sc, 1 round with tr, 1 round with sc and 1 round with tr. Change to light gray and work 1 round with sc. Work next round as follows: 1 ch, 1 sc in the first sc, * skip 3 sc, 9 tr in next sc (= 1 shell), skip 3 sc, 1 sc in next sc*, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times, but the last time finish with 1 sl st in instead of 1 sc = 4 shells on round. Continue in M.1 in stripes as follows: 2 rounds beige/brown, 2 rounds light beige/brown, 2 rounds gray, 2 rounds light gray and 2 rounds beige/brown = 6 rounds with shell pattern. Cut the thread and fasten. Wrist warmer measures approx 18 cm [7”]. |
