Materials: DROPS Alpaca from Garnstudio
Colour no 0100, off-white
150-150-150-200-200-200 g
and use: DROPS Vivaldi from Garnstudio
Colour no 06, off-white
50 g for all sizes

DROPS pointed needles size 3.5 mm - or size needed to obtain 23 sts x 30 rows in stocking st with Alpaca = 10 x 10 cm.

DROPS crochet hook size 4 mm – for lace border.

Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows.

Decreasing tip (applies to armhole): Make all dec from RS.
Dec as follows after 2 sts: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso.
Dec as follows before 2 sts: K2 tog.

Bolero: Cast on 83-94-103-113-127-142 m sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Alpaca. Work 6 rows garter st – see above. Continue in stocking st. Remember the knitting tension! At the same time when piece measures 2 cm inc 1 st each side on every 1-1-1.5-1.5-2-2 cm a total of 5 times = 93-104-113-123-137-152 sts. When piece measures 10-11-12-13-14-15 cm cast off 3 sts each side for armhole = 87-98-107-117-131-146 sts. Dec to shape the armhole each side on every other row – see Decreasing tip: 1 st 3-8-11-15-21-27 times = 81-82-85-87-89-92 sts. When piece measures 26-28-30-32-34-36 cm cast of the middle 21-22-25-25-27-30 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row = 29-29-29-30-30-30 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 28-30-32-34-36-38 cm. Left front piece: Cast on 31-36-41-46-53-60 sts (includes 1 edge st at side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Alpaca. Work 6 rows garter st and continue in stocking st. At the same time cast on new sts towards mid front for rounded front edge on every other row as follows – beg on first row in stocking st: 3 sts 2 times, 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 3 times. At the same time inc at side as described for back piece = 51-56-61-66-73-80 sts. When piece measures 10-11-12-13-14-15 cm cast off and dec for for armhole as described for back piece. At the same time when piece measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm dec to shape the neckline towards mid front on every other row: 1 st 16-16-18-18-19-20 times. After all inc and dec are complete = 29-29-29-30-30-30 sts left on shoulder. Cast of when piece measures 28-30-32-34-36-38 cm.

Right front piece: Like left front piece, but mirrored.

Sleeve: Cast on 72-72-78-78-84-84 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm with Alpaca. Work 6 rows garter st and continue in stocking st. At the same time when piece measures 2 cm dec 1 st each side on every cm a total of 8 times = 56-56-62-62-68-68 sts. When piece measures 10 cm work next row as follows from RS: 1 edge st, *K3 tog*, repeat from *-* across and finish with 1 edge st = 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts. Cast off remaining sts on next row.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seam and side seam. Set in sleeves but leave 4-8 cm open under the arm.

Lace border: Crochet a border round the front opening with crochet hook size 4 mm and 1 thread of each quality. Beg by casting-on row on right front piece, work along right front piece, round neckline and down along left front piece.
Row 1: 1 dc, *2 ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 2 ch and 1 dc. Turn piece.
Continue with 1 thread Vivaldi:
Row 2: 3 ch, 2 tr in first dc, continue with 3 tr in each dc and 3 tr in each ch-loop across row. Turn the piece.
Row 3: 3 ch, 1 tr in first tr, continue with 2 tr in each tr across row. Cut the thread and fasten.
