Berry Pattern: See diagram M.3.
Note! First row in diagram is worked from WS.

Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows

Measuring tip: Because of the weight of the yarn, all measurements should be done whilst the garment is hanging, otherwise it will be too long when worn.

Decreasing tip: All dec done from RS. Dec inside 3 garter sts.
Dec as follows before and after 3 sts: P2 tog
P sts not fitting into pattern from the RS.

Back piece: Cast on 110-118-124-134-144-152 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 4 mm [US 6]. Work 6 rows garter st and continue in stockinette st. Remember the knitting gauge. When piece measures 5 cm [2’’] dec 1 st each side on every 3 cm [1 1/8’’] a total of 10 times = 90-98-104-114-124-132 sts. When piece measures 36 cm [14 1/4’’] work next row as follows from RS: 28-32-35-40-45-49 stockinette sts, M.1 (= 16 sts), 2 stockinette sts, M.2 (= 16 sts), 28-32-35-40-45-49 stockinette sts = 74-82-88-98-108-116 sts. P 1 row from WS. Insert a Marking Thread (MT) and now measure piece from here. Work 4 rows garter st and then K 1 row from RS, at the same time dec 4-4-2-4-2-2 sts evenly = 70-78-86-94-106-114 sts. On next row (= WS) work M.3 with 1 edge st each side. When piece measures 11-12-13-14-15-16 cm [4 3/8’’-4 3/4’’-5 1/8’’-5½’’-6’’-6 1/4’’] from MT work 2 rows garter st on 7-7-7-9-9-11 sts each side – work remaining sts as before. On next row bind off 4-4-4-6-6-8 sts each side for armhole = 62-70-78-82-94-98 sts. Continue in pattern with 3 garter sts each side – P sts not fitting into pattern (as seen from RS) – at the same time dec – see Decreasing tip: 1 st on every other row a total of 2-4-8-8-14-14 times = 58-62-62-66-66-70 sts.
When piece measures 27-29-31-33-35-37 cm [10 5/8’’-11 3/8’’-12 1/8’’-13’’-13 3/4’’-14½’’] work 2 rows garter st on the middle 28-32-32-28-28-32 sts (work remaining sts as before). On next row bind off the middle 22-26-26-22-22-26 sts for neck = 18-18-18-22-22-22 sts left on each shoulder. Continue in pattern with 3 garter sts each side until piece measures 30-32-34-36-38-40 cm [11 3/4’’- 12½’’-13 3/8’’-14 1/4’’-15’’-15 3/4’’] from MT (piece measures approx 67-69-71-73-75-77 cm [26 3/8’-27 1/8’’-28’’-28 3/4’’-29½’’-30 3/8’’’]). Bind off loosely.

When piece measures 36 cm [14 1/4’’] work next row as follows from RS: 28-32-35-40-45-49 stockinette sts, M.1 (=16 sts), 2 stockinette sts, M.2 (=16 sts), 28-32-35-40-45-49 stockinette sts = 74-82-88-98-108-116 sts. P 1 row from WS. Insert a MT and measure piece from here. Work 4 rows garter st and K 1 row from RS, at the same time dec 4-4-2-4-2-2 sts evenly = 70-78-86-94-106-114 sts. On next row (= WS) work M.3 with 1 garter st each side. When piece measures 9-10-11-12-13-14 cm [3½’’-4’’-4 3/8’’-4 3/4’’-5 1/8’’--5½’’] from MT work 2 rows garter st on the middle 10 sts (work remaining sts as before).

Buon lavoro!

Neuleohjeessa sanotaan "Neulo seuraavalla krs:lla (= nurja puoli) M.3:n mukaan 1:llä reuna-s:lla kummassakin reunassa". M3 on karhunvatukkakuvion piirros. Miten sitä voi tehdä yhdellä reunasilmukalla? Onko ohjeessa virhe?

DROPS Design 17.02.2014 kl. 13:47:

Hei! Kummassakin reunassa neulotaan 1 reinas ja muilla silmukoilla neulotaan mallineuletta.

DROPS Design 21.01.2008 - 08:28:

Hej.

Ellers superfin.
