Back piece: Cast on 68-74-80-86-94-102 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 6 mm [US 10] with 1 thread Cotton Viscose and 2 threads Vivaldi. Continue with 1 thread of each quality and work 4-4-4-5-5-5 cm [1½’’-1½’’-1½’’-2’’-2’’-2’’] garter st. Continue in M.1 (first row = RS) with 1 edge st each side. Remember the knitting gauge! At the same time when piece measures14-15-16-17-17-18 cm [5½’’-6’’-6.2’’-6.7’’-6.7’’-7’’] dec 1 st each side on every 13-13-13-13-14-14 cm [5.1’’-5.1’’-5.1’’-5.1’’-5½’’-5½’’] a total of 3 times = 62-68-74-80-88-96 sts. When piece measures 46-47-48-49-50-51 cm [18’’-18½’’- 19’’-19.2’’-19.7’’-20’’] bind off for armhole each side on every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-1-1-2 times, 2 sts 0-1-1-2-3-3 times and 1 st 1-1-3-4-5-5 times = 54-56-58-58-60-62 sts. When piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm [24.4’’-25.2’’-26’’-26.7’’-27½’’-28.4’’] bind off the middle 12-14-14-16-16-18 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row = 20-20-21-20-21-21 sts left on each shoulder. bind off loosely when piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm [25.2"-26"-26.7"-27½"-28.4"-29.1"].
Left front piece: Cast on 42-45-48-51-55-59 sts (includes 1 edge st at side and 8 front band sts towards mid front) on needle size 6 mm [US 10] with 1 thread Cotton Viscose and 2 threads Vivaldi. Continue with 1 thread of each quality, but work the 2 outermost sts on front band with 1 thread Cotton Viscose and 2 threads Vivaldi until finished measurement. Work 4-4-4-5-5-5 cm [1½’’-1½’’-1½’’-2’’-2’’-2’’] garter st and continue in M.1 with 1 edge st at side and 8 front band sts towards mid front in garter st. When piece measures 14-15-16-17-17-18 cm [5½’’-6’’-6.2’’-6.7’’-6.7’’-7’’] dec at side as described for back piece = 39-42-45-48-52-56 sts. When piece measures 46-47-48-49-50-51 cm [18’’-18½’’- 19’’-19.2’’-19.7’’-20’’] bind off for armhole as described for back piece. At the same time when piece measures 48-49-50-51-52-53 cm [19’’-19.2’’-19.7’’-20’’- 20½’’-21’’] work 2 rows back and forth on front band sts only (do not work remaining sts). Continue as before on all sts, at the same time dec to shape the neckline – see Decreasing tip - on every 4th row: 1 st 7-8-8-9-9-10 times. When all dec for armhole and neckline are complete = 28-28-29-28-29-29 sts left on shoulder. Continue until piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm [25.2"-26"-26.7"-27½"-28.4"-29.1"] and now bind off the outermost 20-20-21-20-21-21 sts for shoulder = 8 front band sts left on row. Continue with shortened rows in garter st as follows: *work all sts, turn the piece and work return row, work the first 4 sts towards mid front, turn the piece and work return row*, repeat from *-* until front band measures approx 4.5-5.5-5.5-6-6-6.5 cm [1.7’’-2.2’’-2.2’’-2.4’’-2.4’’-2½’’] (measured on the shorter side) from shoulder. Bind off loosely.

Sleeve: Cast on 40-42-42-44-44-46 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 6 mm [US 10] with 1 thread Cotton Viscose and 2 threads Vivaldi. Continue with 1 thread of each quality and work 4-4-4-5-5-5 cm [1½’’-1½’’-1½’’-2’’-2’’-2’’] garter st. Now work M.1 with 1 edge st each side.
At the same time when piece measures 8-8-8-8-7-6 cm [3’’-3’’-3’’-3’’-2.7’’-2.4’’] inc 1 st each side on every 12-9-6-5-4-3.5 cm [4.7’’- 3½’’-2.4’’-2’’-1½’’-1.3’’] a total of 4-5-7-8-10-11 times = 48-52-56-60-64-68 sts.
At the same time when piece measures 25 cm [9.7’’] work 5 cm [2’’] garter st and then complete piece in stockinette st. When piece measures 49-48-48-47-47-45 cm [19.2’’-19’’- 19’’-18½’’-18½’’-17.7’’] (less on the larger sizes because of larger sleeve cap) dec to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3 times, 1 st 0-1-0-2-3-5 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 55-55-55-56-57-57 cm [21.6’’-21.6’’-21.6’’-22’’-22½’’-22½’’], dec 3 sts each side 1 time and bind off remaining sts. Sleeve measures approx 56-56-56-57-58-58 cm [22’’-22’’-22’’-22½’’-22.7’’-22.7’’].
Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams inside
1 edge st. Sew tog collar mid back and sew collar to neckline. Sew on buttons.

Filiz Aslanalp 16.01.2018 - 16:30:

Also, i need to cast off 2 more sts for armhole shapping, yet?! How am i gonna do that if i work short rows? Sorry if i sound weird cause this is my first knitting work:)

DROPS Design 16.01.2018 kl. 16:59:

Dear Mrs Aslanalp, you will cast off for the armhole at the beg of row from RS, and at the same time, work the short row for neck at the beg of row from WS - see previous answer. Happy knitting!

Filiz Aslanalp 16.01.2018 - 16:29:

Hello, i need help, please! in left front piece it says: At the same time when piece measures 48-49-50-51-52-53 cm [19’’-19.2’’-19.7’’-20’’- 20½’’-21’’] work 2 rows back and forth on front band sts only (do not work remaining sts). Does it mean to work short rows? I am in the RS now and front band is the end of this row, so, do i have to knit to the front band and work short rows?

DROPS Design 16.01.2018 kl. 16:57:

Dear Mrs Aslanalp, for the left front piece, start the short rows from WS, ie from WS work the front band sts only, turn and work return row, then continue as before over all sts. Happy knitting!

Laurence 22.05.2017 - 20:30:

Frida 04.01.2008 - 18:09:

Mia 20.12.2007 - 19:02:
