DROPS vest with crochet borders in “Muskat Soft”

Size: S – M – L – XL - XXL

Materials: Drops Muskat Soft from Garnstudio
200-200-200-250-250 g colour no 06, blue mix

Drops pointed needles size 4.5 mm or size needed to obtain the correct knitting tension
Drops crochet hook size 3.5 mm
Drops buffalo horn button, no 537: 2 pcs

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
Knitting tension: 20 sts x 26 rows on needles size 4.5 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm.

Back piece: Cast on 78-86-94-102-114 sts (incl. of 1 edge st each side) on needle size 4.5 mm and knit 2 rows garter sts. Continue in reverse stocking sts. When piece measures 7 and 14 cm inc 1 st each side = 82-90-98-106-118 sts. When piece measures 18-19-20-21-22 cm cast off 3 sts each side for armhole and dec to shape the armhole on every other row: 2 sts 1-2-4-5-6 times and 1 st 2-2-2-2-4 times = 68-72-72-76-80 sts. When piece measures 29-31-33-35-37 cm cast off the middle 14-14-14-18-18 sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 1 st 5 times = 22-24-24-24-26 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 34-36-38-40-42 cm

Left front piece: Cast on 26-28-30-32-34 sts (incl of 1 edge st at side) on needle size 4.5 mm and knit 2 rows garter sts. Continue in reverse stocking sts. At the same time after 2 rows cast on new sts on every other row to shape front edge: 2 sts 2-3-4-5-6 times and then on every 4th row: 2 sts 4-4-4-4-5 times. At the same time when piece measures 7 and 14 inc 1 st at side as described for back piece. After all inc are complete = 40-44-48-52-58 sts on row.
Please read all of the following section before continuing!

Armhole: When piece measures 18-19-20-21-22 cm dec at side for armhole as described for back piece.

Neckline: At the same time when piece measures 19-21-22-23-23 cm cast off for neck towards mid front on every other row: 1 st 11-11-11-13-13 times. After all dec for armhole and neckline are complete = 22-24-24-24-26 sts left on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 34-36-38-40-42 cm

Right front: Knit as left front but mirrored

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Sew side seams inside 1 edge st. Sew on buttons on left front piece on the section which has no inc. or dec. and use crochet border on right front piece as buttonholes.
Crochet border: Begin to crochet at shoulder and crochet round the entire opening of the bolero (i.e. down along one front piece, along bottom edge, up along the other front piece and round neck at back) with crochet hook size 3.5 mm in the most outer st as follows:
1st round: 1 dc in first st, *1 ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round.
2nd round: *5 ch, skip 3 sts, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round.
3rd and 4th round: Crochet 3 sl st to the top of the first ch-loop from previous round, *5 ch, 1 dc in next ch-loop from previous round*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first st from previous round. Cut the thread.

Crochet border: Crochet 1st, 2nd and 3rd round around both armholes.

I've also tried to re-format for margins and it still doesn't print correctly. I've also tried to save as pdf and it still doesn't format correctly for printing.

Dear Mrs Kfetchen, if you are printing from chrome, you should try printing from another browser, because there is an error in the last update of chrome that we cannot fix, chrome has to.

Can't print from MAC or iPad, it cuts the diagram in two. What paper size is your default? Mine is US Letter

You knit 27 st, bind off 14 st and knit the last 27 st. Now you knit the pieces separately.
