Pattern instructions

Knitting tension: 17 sts x 24 rows on needles size 5 mm in stocking sts with 1 thread of Vivaldi = 10 x 10 cm.
Rib-1: *K3, P3*, repeat from *-*.
Rib-2: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*

Back and front piece: Knit the piece around on circular needle. Cast on 156-168-180-204-228 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with 2 threads of Alpaca. Knit Rib-1 – see explanation above – until the piece measures 15 cm. Knit 1 round of stocking sts at the same time dec. 20-20-20-24-28 sts evenly distributed on round = 136-148-160-180-200 sts. Insert 3 marking threads (MT) in the piece: 1 MT in the beginning of round (= the middle of the first side), 1 MT after 34-37-40-45-50 sts (= at the mid front) and 1 MT after 68-74-80-90-100 sts (= the middle of the second side). Purl 1 round. Change to 1 thread of Vivaldi and knit 1 round of stocking sts. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and continue in stocking sts. At the same time when the piece measures 18 cm inc. 1 st each side of the MT at the sides on every 4-3-3-3.5-3.5 cm a total of 3-4-4-4-4 times = 148-164-176-196-216 sts. When the piece measures 28-28-28-30-30 cm cast off 1 st each side of the MT at the mid front = 146-162-174-194-214 sts. Continue to knit back and forth from the mid front. Dec. 1 st each side towards the neck on every other row 10-10-11-12-12 times and on every 4th row 5-6-6-6-6 times. At the same time when the piece measures 32-33-34-35-36 cm cast off 3 sts each side of the MT at the sides. Continue to knit the back and the front piece separately.

Front piece: Continue to dec. for the neck shape. At the same time continue to cast off for the armholes each side on every other row: 3 sts 0-0-0-1-1 times, 2 sts 1-2-3-3-5 times and 1 st 1-2-2-3-3 times. When all the cast off for the armholes and dec. for the neck shape are completed, 15-15-15-15-16 sts should be left for each shoulder. Knit until the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm. Cast off loosely.

Back piece: Cast off for the armholes each side as done for the front piece = 62-64-66-68-70 sts.
When the piece measures 47-49-51-53-55 cm cast off the mid 30-32-34-36-36 sts. Continue to cast off 1 st each side towards the neck =15-15-15-15-16 sts left for each shoulder. Knit until the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm. Cast off loosely.

Sleeve: Knit the piece around on needles. Cast on 42-48-48-54-54 sts with double pointed needles size 4 mm with 2 threads of Alpaca. Knit Rib-1 – see explanation above – until the piece measures 10 cm. Knit 1 round of stocking sts at the same time dec. 4-8-8-10-10 sts evenly distributed = 38-40-40-44-44 sts. Insert a MT at the beginning of round = mid underneath the sleeve. Purl 1 round. Change to 1 thread of Vivaldi and knit 1 round of stocking sts. Change to double pointed needles size 5 mm and continue in stocking sts. At the same time when the piece measures 12 cm inc. 1 st each side of the MT underneath the sleeve on every 5-4-3-3-2,5 cm a total of 8-9-11-11-14 times = 54-58-62-66-72 sts. When the piece measures 49-48-47-46-47 cm cast off 3 sts each side of the MT. Continue to knit back and forth. Then cast off for the sleeve cap each side on every other row 2 sts 2-2-2-2-3 times and 1 st 4-5-6-8-8 times. Continue to cast off 2 sts each side until the piece measures 57-57-57-57-59 cm. Then cast off 3 sts each side. Cast off remaining sts when the piece measures approx. 58-58-58-58-60 cm.

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves.

Bonjour Madame.

Bon tricot!

Hanna 27.07.2014 - 16:28:

"Halskant: sticka upp 144-172 m runt halsen."

Siv J 22.02.2007 - 18:25:
