Moss st: Row 1: * K1, P1 *. Row 2: P over K and K over P. Repeat row 2.
Rib: * K2, P2 *. Repeat from * -*.
Bobble: Work 3 sts in 1 st, work 3 rows stocking st on these 3 sts, on row 4 K3 tog.
Pattern : see diagrams below. Rute mønster = diamond pattern
Flette mønster = cable pattern

Back piece: Worked back and forth on needle. Numbers in ( ) refer to men’s sizes. Cast on 78-84 (80-86) sts on needle size 3.5 mm and work 6 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5.5 mm and P 1 row from WS, at the same time inc 28-30 (32-32) sts evenly on row = 106-114 (112-118) sts. Continue in pattern as follows: 7-11 (10-13) moss sts, 24 sts in diamond pattern, 10 sts in cable pattern, 24 sts in diamond pattern, 7-11 (10-13) moss sts. Continue in pattern like this. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 63-63 (65-67) cm cast off the middle 40 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 64-64 (66-68) cm.
Front piece: Cast on and work like back piece until piece measures 45-45 (47-49) cm. Now cast off the middle 6 sts for split and complete each side separately. Continue in pattern, at the same time cast off 1 st towards mid front on every * other and 3rd * row alternately a total of 17 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 64-64 (66-68) cm.
Sleeve: Cast on 36-38 (38-40) sts on needle size 3.5 mm and work 6 cm Rib. Change to needle size 5.5 mm and P 1 row from WS, at the same time inc 20-18 (16-14) sts evenly on row = 56-56 (54-54) sts. Continue in pattern as follows: 6-6 (5-5) moss sts, 10 sts in cable pattern, 24 sts in diamond pattern, 10 sts in cable pattern, 6-6 (5-5) moss sts. Continue in pattern like this at the same time inc 1 st each side on every * 4th and 5th * row alternately for ladies sizes and on every 5th row for men’s sizes a total of 21-21 (20-20) times = 99-98 (94-94) sts. Work inc sts in moss st. Cast off all sts when sleeve measures 50-48 (53-53) cm.
Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx 110 sts round the neck from mid front on needle size 3.5 mm and work rib, P2/K2, back and forth on needle from mid front. When rib measures 6.5 cm, do not work the first 6 sts each side, but leave them on needle. Continue leaving 4 sts on needle each side until there are 66 sts left on row. Now work 1 row rib on all sts and cast off. Set in sleeves and sew side and sleeve seams.

HCL 13.07.2017 - 15:12:

Christine Weir 22.08.2016 - 21:54:

I like this pattern ..but I see the largest size is m/L....like lots of the mens patterns .....does an XL version exist? it's a lovely pattern...

DROPS Design 23.08.2016 kl. 08:19:

Dear Mrs Weir, this is an old pattern only available in 2 sizes, with much positive ease than the lattest patterns for men - click here to check sizes and how far you can adjust measurements & pattern. Happy knitting!

Joanne Laing 21.09.2015 - 04:45:

I am very much interested in making the Drops 11-11 aran jumper. But I cannot seem to find where the measurements are located so I can choose the proper size. I need the chest, arm length, length of body, etc. Any help will be appreciated.

DROPS Design 21.09.2015 kl. 10:57:

Dear Mrs Laing, please click here to find how to read measurement chart and find size, convert into inch here if required. Happy knitting!

ELMARE CROSS 13.10.2014 - 16:00:

This is a beautiful pattern to knit but I am having difficulty to understand the neck band. What do you mean by leaving 6 stitches and then 4 until 66 sts How do I do this.

DROPS Design 13.10.2014 kl. 23:14:

Hi! It means you have to work short rows over stitches in the middle, by knitting 4 sts less each side on every turn until you have only 66 sts in the middle.

Ann Walker 14.12.2013 - 21:10:

Hi I am working on pattern 11-11 and have a query which I would be so grateful if you could help with please. On the front, where the work divides for the neck, the pattern says 'Continue in pattern, at the same time cast off 1 st towards mid front on every * other and 3rd * row alternately a total of 17 times.' I'm not sure what 'every other and 3rd alternately means. Can you clarify it please? Many thanks Ann

DROPS Design 16.12.2013 kl. 09:05:

Dear Mrs Walker, it means you will work *1 row with dec, 1 row without dec, 1 row with dec, 2 rows without dec* until you dec a total of 17 sts. Happy knitting!
