DROPS Retro 1980-1993

Size: S - M – L

Materials: DROPS Karisma from Garnstudio
350-400-400 g, colour no 1, off-white
and use: DROPS Kid Mohair from Garnstudio
200-200-250 g colour no 2, off-white

DROPS pointed needles size 2.5 and 4 mm and circular needle size 2.5 mm - or size needed to obtain 18 sts x 26 rows in pattern on needle size 4 mm with Karisma = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern instructions

Rib: *K1 into back of loop, P1*, repeat from *-*.

Pattern:
1 ruta = 1 st x 1 v : 1 square = 1 st x 1 row

Kvastmønster = tassel pattern

M.1, M.4 and bobble-pattern are all worked in Kid Mohair. M.2, M.3, tassel-pattern and stripes are worked in Karisma.

Bobble-pattern: Pattern divisible by 6.
Row 1: *P3 tog without slipping sts off left needle, K them tog, P them tog again and slip all sts off needle, K3*.
Row 2 and 4: P all sts.
Row 3: K3, P3 tog without slipping sts off left needle, K them tog, P them tog again and slip all sts off needle.

Tassel-pattern: See diagram. The arched arrow in diagram = *put needle through piece between 4th and 5th st and pull thread through (= 1 new st), K1, P2, K3*, K1.

Stripe: 4 rows garter st.

Pattern body piece:
7-7-8 cm M.1, 1 stripe (see above), 4-6-6 cm M.3, 1 stripe, 7-7-8 cm M.4, 1 stripe, 5 cm M.2, 1 stripe, 8 cm tassel-pattern, 1 stripe, 5 cm M.3, 1 stripe, 10 cm bobble-pattern.
Pattern sleeve:
9 cm M.1, 1 stripe, 7-7-6 cm M.3, 1 stripe, 9-8-8 cm M.4, 1 stripe, 6 cm M.2, 1 stripe, 8 cm tassel-pattern.


Back piece: Cast on 94-88-92 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with Karisma and work 5 cm rib. Change to needle size 4 mm and continue in pattern (see above), at the same time inc 20-22-24 sts evenly on first row = 104-110-116 sts. When piece measures 57-59-61 cm cast off the middle 38-38-38 sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 58-60-62 cm.

Front piece: Cast on and work like back piece. When piece measures 32-32-32 cm cast off the middle 32-32-32 sts for neck and cast off the shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 58-60-62 cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 44-44-46 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with Karisma and work 6 cm rib. Change to needle size 4 mm and continue in Pattern – see above – at the same time inc 18-18-16 sts evenly = 62-62-62 sts. Work pattern on the 60 middle sts with 1 edge st each side. At the same time inc 1 st each side inside the edge st: 1 st 3 times on every 3rd row, 1 st 20-21-21 times on every 4th row = 108-110-110 sts.

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx 90 sts round neck on circular needle size 2.5 mm with Karisma and work rib as follows: 1 round Karisma, 2 rounds Kid Mohair, Karisma until rib measures 6 cm, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves and sew side and sleeve seams.
