Hi! I've just finished knitting M.1. And I've made it to this point: "After M.1 work M.2, at the same time bind off the middle 35-37 (34-37) sts mid front for neck and complete piece back and forth on needle. Bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1 time. Bind off remaining sts after M.2. " I'm a little confused. Do I knit all ten rows of M.2 and then start binding off? Is it not worked in the round at this point?

Hi Sarah, At the same time as beginning M.2, bind off the middle stitches mid-front for the neckline. Then continue back and forth, binding off on each side of the neck as described in the text. Remember to bind off 4 stitches once on each side, then 2 sts twice on each side and finally 1 st once on each side, every 2nd row. You finish M.2 then bind off the remaining stitches. Hope this helps and happy knitting!

Hi Marlene, H is the men's starting point (H for herre (men)) in Norwegian. Happy knitting!

There is a D-M/L and a H-M/L. Which one should I start at. The D or the H?
01.12.2020 - 19:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mr Scott, if you are working a lady size, follow D then size S/M or M/L - if you are working a man size, follow H then men size either S/M or M/L. Happy knitting!

When starting the M1 pattern, it says to start from the arrow but there are 2 arrows indicated. Which one is the right one.

Hi, the difference is in the size you are working - choose arrow or you size (S/M = Small/Medium, M/l = Medium/large). Happy knitting!

Det er svært at se hvordan halsen er på trøjen. Har modellen en sort rullekravesweater på indenunder trøjen?

Hei Marianne.

Gentag paa rygstk.

Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS and the entire pattern is worked in stockinette st. Note: Work M.4 like M.3, but work diagram from top down. Rib: * K1, P1 *. Repeat from *-*. Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle and cut for armholes afterwards. Numbers in ( ) refer to men’s sizes. Cast on 220-230 (240-250) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with black and work 6 cm / 2 3/8'' Rib. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 and continue in stockinette st, at the same time inc 46-56 (36-48) sts evenly on first round = 266-286 (276-298) sts. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 30-31 (34-35) cm inc 5 sts each side for armhole (to be cut for armhole afterwards and not included in pattern). When piece measures 33-35 (37-39) cm work M.1 (beg by arrow and work pattern on front piece, beg by arrow again and repeat pattern on back piece). After M.1 work M.2, at the same time bind off the middle 35-37 (34-37) sts mid front for neck and complete piece back and forth on needle. Bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1 time. Bind off remaining sts after M.2. Piece measures approx 60-62 (64-66) cm. Sleeve: Cast on 48-50 (56-58) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with black and work 5 cm / 2'' Rib. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm / US 4, K 1 round, at the same time inc 14-14 (6-6) sts evenly on round = 62-64 (62-64) sts. Now work M.3, at the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 38-39 (38-39) times on every * 3rd, 3rd and 4th * round alternately for ladies size S/M, on every 3rd round for ladies size M/L, and on every * 3rd and 4th * round alternately for men’s sizes = 138-142 (138-142) sts. Incorporate inc sts in pattern as you go along. After M.3 continue in black until 6 cm / 2 3/8'' before finished measurements, and now work M.4. Piece now measures approx 49-48 (54-53) cm. Work 2 cm / 3/4'' in reverse stockinette st (for sewing sleeve to body piece). Bind off. Assembly: Insert a marking thread in the middle of the inc sts for armhole. Sew 2 seams on a sewing machine around the marking thread, 1st seam = ½ st from the MT, 2nd seam = ½ st from the 1st seam. Cut for armholes. Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx 90 sts round the neck on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm / US 4 with black and P 1 round, M.2, P 1 round (= folding edge), 9 rounds stockinette st, bind off and fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves as follows: sew the last row in stockinette st on sleeves to row after machine seam on armhole. Turn jumper inside out and fasten piece in reverse stockinette st on sleeve to body piece. |
