Pattern instructions

Pattern: See diagram. The pattern is seen from the RS and the entire pattern is worked in stocking st. English Translations for the wording in the diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern, and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram.

Garter st pattern: * K 3 rounds, P 2 rounds*, repeat from *-*.

Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 226-236 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with black and work 4 cm garter st pattern. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and K 1 round, at the same time inc 38-52 sts evenly on first round = 264-288 sts. Continue in M.1, and then M.2 (make sure to have the gap between 2 flower bouquets mid front). After M.2 continue in black. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 22 cm work next round as follows: * 10-16 black sts, M.3, 20-20 black sts, M.3, 20-20 black sts, M.3, 10-16 black sts *, repeat from *-* on back piece. After M.3 continue in black until piece measures 36 cm. Work next round as follows: * the last 12-18 sts of M.2, 20-20 black sts, M.2, 20-20 black sts, M.2, 20-20 black sts, the first 12-18 sts of M.2 *, repeat from *-* on back piece. After M.2 complete piece in black. At the same time when piece measures 26-27 cm divide piece in two and complete each piece separately.

Back piece: = 132-144 sts. When piece measures 55-56 cm cast off the middle 50-52 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off 2 sts on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 56-57 cm.

Front piece: = 132-144 sts. When piece measures 51-52 cm cast off the middle 40-42 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Cast off to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 56-57 cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 52-56 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with black and work 4 cm garter st pattern. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and K 1 round, at the same time inc 16-12 sts evenly on round = 68-68 sts. Continue in M.1, at the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm on every * 3rd and 4th row * alternately 35-35 times = 138-138 sts. Incorporate inc sts in pattern as you go along. After M.1 work M.2 (make sure to have the gap between 2 flower bouquets mid upper sleeve). After M.2 continue in black until piece measures 22 cm. Now work next round as follows: place M.3 mid upper sleeve with 20 black sts either and work M.3 after the 20 sts each side. After M.3 complete piece in black. When piece measures 47-47 cm cast off 10 sts mid under arm and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 8 sts 4 times. Cast of remaining sts when piece measures 50-50 cm.

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams.
Pick up 116 sts round the neck on circular needle size 2.5 mm with black and P 3 rows, M.1, 1 row stocking st, P 1 row (= folding edge), 13 rows stocking st, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
