450-450-450 (450-500) g color no 12 red (no 30 blue)
150-200-200 (100-100) g color no 6, pink (no 5, purple)
150-150-150 (200-200) g color no 1, coral (no 8, violet)
150-150-150 (100-100) g color no 35, yellow (no 35 yellow)
50-100-100 (100-150) g color no 30, blue (no 3, mint)
(50-100) g color no 10, turquoise

DROPS circular and double pointed needles size 3.5 and 5 mm/US 4 and 8 - or size needed to obtain 17 sts x 23 rows in stockinette st on needle size 5 mm / US 8 = 4’’ x 4’’ (10 x 10 cm).

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
Pattern: See diagram M.1 and M.2. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS.

Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.

Front and back piece:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Numbers and colors in ( ) refer to Men’s sizes. Cast on 156-164-168 (168-172) sts on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with red (blue) and work 5 cm / 2’’ Rib. Change to needle size 5 mm / US 8 and continue in stockinette st, at the same time inc 36-40-48 (36-44) sts evenly on first round = 192-204-216 (204-216) sts. REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
When piece measures 9-7-8 (5-7) cm continue in pattern as follows: Ladies: M.2 (beg by arrow), then M.2 again, but replace the indicated 14 rows with the “tilleggs” diagram (see below), work M.2 again and then complete piece in red. Men’s: work M.1 until finished measurements. At the same time when piece measures 30-31-32 (34-36) cm divide piece in two and complete front and back pieces separately.

Front piece: = 96-102-108 (102-108) sts. When piece measures 55-55-56 (59-61) cm bind off the middle 26-28-28 (28-28) sts for neck and dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times. Bind off when piece measures 60-61-62 (64-66) cm.

Back piece: = 96-102-108 (102-108) sts. When piece measures 59-60-61 (63-65) cm bind off the middle 34-36-36 (36-36) sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row bind off as described for front piece.

Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-38-38 (40-40) sts on double pointed needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with red (blue) and work 5 cm / 2’’ Rib. Change to needle size 5 mm / US 8, at the same time inc 14-14-14 (10-12) sts evenly on first round = 50-52-52 (50-52) sts.
At the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm on every * 3rd and 4th * round alternately for ladies sizes and on every 4th round for men’s sizes a total of 26-25-26 (27-26) times = 102-102-104 (104-104) sts. At the same time when piece measures 14-11-10 (11-11) cm continue in pattern as follows (make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve):
Ladies, M.2 (beg by arrow), then M.2 again, but replace the indicated 14 rows with the “tilleggs” diagram (see below), and then complete piece in M.2.
Men’s: work M.1 until finished measurements.
Bind off when piece measures 50-50-49 (54-54) cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 96 sts round neckline on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm / US 4 with red (blue) and work 2 cm / 3/4’’ stockinette st, at the same time dec 4 sts evenly along neckline on back piece on first round, change to pink (violet), work 2 (1) round stockinette st, work next round as follows: for ladies sizes: * K2 tog, 1 YO *, for men's sizes: P 1 round (= folding edge), 2.5 cm / 7/8’’ stockinette st, bind off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten. Set in sleeves.
