DROPS child’s jumper or jacket with pattern borders and hat in “Karisma”.

Pattern instructions

Knitting Tension: 20 sts x 26 rows on needle size 4 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm
Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.
Pattern: The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.

JUMPER:
Knit in the round instead of back and forth on needle. Cast on 8 less sts and inc 8 more sts after Rib.

JACKET:

Back and front piece: Knitted back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 138-142-152 (162-172-182) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with blue/blue-grey/wine red and work 4 cm Rib, but after 1 row change to blue-grey/off-white/red. Change to needle size 4 mm and continue in pattern (beg by arrow), at the same time inc 6-14-16 (18-20-22) sts evenly on first row = 144-156-168 (180-192-204) sts. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 23-20-22 (24-25-26) cm divide the piece in two and complete front and back pieces separately.

Front piece: = 36-39-42 (45-48-51) sts. When piece measures 34-35-38 (42-44-46) cm dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 11-14-14 (15-16-16) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 2 times. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 38-39-42 (46-48-50) cm.

Back piece: = 72-78-84 (90-96-102) sts. When piece measures 36-37-40 (44-46-48) cm cast off the middle 28-34-34 (36-38-38) sts for neck and dec 1 st on neckline on next row. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 38-39-42 (46-48-50) cm.

Sleeves: Cast on 36-36-38 (40-42-44) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm blue/blue-grey/wine red and work 4 cm Rib, but after 1 round change to blue-grey/off-white/red. Change to needle size 4 mm and continue in pattern (beg by arrow), at the same time inc 4-4-2 (4-6-6) sts evenly on first round = 40-40-40 (44-48-50) sts. At the same time after Rib inc 2 sts mid under arm 10-18-20 (22-22-23) times as follows:
Size 2 years: on every 4th and 5th round alternately
Size 3/4 + 5/6 + 7/8 years: on 3rd round
Size 9/10 years + 11/12 years: on every 3rd and 4th round alternately
= 60-76-80 (88-92-96) sts. Cast off when sleeve measures approx 23-26-30 (34-37-40) cm – adjust to pattern.

Assembly: Join shoulders. Pick up approx 80-100 along left front piece on needle size 2.5 mm with blue-grey/off-white/red and work 3 cm Rib back and forth on needle, cast off. Repeat along right front piece, but after 1 cm make 6-7 buttonholes evenly distributed. 1 buttonhole = cast off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Pick up approx 78-90 sts round the neck on needle size 2.5 mm with blue-grey/off-white/red and work 2.5 cm Rib, change to blue/blue-grey/wine red, work 1 row and cast off. Set in sleeves.

HAT:
Size: 2 – 3/4 - 5/6 (7/8 – 9/10 – 11/12) years
Head circumference: 48-48-48 (54-54-54) cm

Materials: DROPS Karisma, from Garnstudio
50-50-50 (50-50-50) g colour no 51, blue-grey / no 1, off-white / no 18, red
+ remnants of pattern colours from jacket

DROPS circular needle size 3.5 mm
DROPS crochet hook size 3.5 mm

Knitting Tension: 21 sts x 28 rows on needle size 3.5 mm in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm
Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows.
Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round.
Pattern: The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.

Cast on 96-96-96 (108-108-108) sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with blue-grey/off-white/red and work 4 rounds garter st. Continue in pattern (beg by arrow in diagram). When piece measures 18-19-20 (20-21-21) cm cast off. Place hat flat and sew tog from RS. Make 2 tassels with a diameter of approx 5 cm and attach either end of seam.
Earflaps: Cast on 3 sts on needle side 3.5 mm and work garter st. Inc each side on every other row: 1 st 9-9-9 (10-10-11) times as follows: right side: work 2 sts in first st, left side: work 2 sts in the second but last st = 21-21-21 (23-23-25) sts. Continue until piece measures 8-9-9 (10-11-11) cm and cast off. Crochet 2 strings of ch measuring approx 25 cm each with crochet hook size 3.5 mm and attach to bottom of earflaps. Sew earflaps to hat from WS in the last row of garter st with 11-11-11 (12-13-13) cm between them mid back.

Je voudrais avoir la laine Karisma de couleur bleu gris numéro 51 \r\nCar elle n’appara Pas sur les choix de couleur de Karisma et vous la proposer pour un de vos modèles?\r\nMerci de votre réponse

Hej Charlotte. Der er flere blaa at vaelge i mellem, umiddelbart ville jeg sige 30 eller 70. Men kontakt din DROPS butik og tag en snak om hvilken farve passer bedst til de övrige farver. God fornöjelse.

Die Farbe nr 65 ist leider nicht jeansblau sondern lila. Wer die Jacke in Blau stricken moechte sollte vielleicht besser hell blaugrau nehmen.

Liebe Nina, ja, es sind drei verschiedene Farbkombinationen angegeben und auf dem Foto sehen Sie die erste Kombination "Blau". Allerdings ist die Anleitung älteren Datums und daher gibt es nicht mehr alle Farben, für diese Farbkombination ist Nr. 51 blaugrau nicht mehr erhältlich. Stattdessen können Sie aber Nr. 65, jeansblau, verwenden. Viel Spaß beim Stricken!
