JUMPER:
Knitting tension: 24 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3 mm in pattern and stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.
Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS and is knitted in stocking st.

Front and back piece: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 120-132-144-158 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with white and work 3-3-3-4 cm Rib. Change to needle size 3 mm and continue in M.1, at the same time inc 0-0-0-10 sts evenly on first round = 120-132-144-168 sts. Remember the knitting tension. When piece measures 11-13-15-17 cm (adjust to M.1) continue in M.2. At the same time when piece measures 15-16-19-20 cm divide piece in 2 and complete front and back pieces separately. Make sure to have a pattern repeat mid front.

Front piece: = 60-66-72-84 sts. After M.2, complete piece in M.3. When piece measures 23-25-29-31 cm cast off the middle 10-14-16-18 sts for neck. Right shoulder: dec on every other row to shape the neckline: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts twice, 1 st 1 time. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 27-29-33-35 cm. Left shoulder: dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 1 st 1 time. When piece measures 26-28-32-34 cm change to needle size 2.5 mm and work 2 cm Rib, but after 2 rows make 2 buttonholes evenly distributed. 1 buttonhole = cast off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Cast off when piece measures 28-30-34-36 cm.

Back piece: = 60-66-72-84 sts. Continue in pattern. When piece measures 25-27-31-33 cm cast off the middle 18-22-24-26 sts for neck. Right shoulder: dec on every other row to shape the neckline: 3 sts 1 time, 1 st 1 time. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 27-29-33-35 cm. Left shoulder: when piece measures 26-28-32-34 cm change to needle size 2.5 mm and work 2 cm Rib. Cast of, piece measures 28-30-34-36 cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 38-40-40-42 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with green and work 2-2-3-3 cm Rib, but after 2 rounds change to white. Change to needle size 3 mm and continue in M.1, at the same time inc 2-4-8-10 sts evenly on round = 40-44-48-52 sts. Now inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 9-9-10-10 times as follows:
Size 3 months: on every 4th round
Size 6/9 months: on every 5th and 6th round alternately
Size 12/18 + 24 months: on every 5th round
= 58-62-68-72 sts. When piece measures 8-12-14-15 cm work M.4 (adjust to M.1, finish on row 7 or 10). Cast off after M.4, piece measures approx 16-20-22-23 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 80-90 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with white and work 2 cm Rib, at the same time make a buttonhole after 2 rounds in line with the others on body piece. Set in sleeves and sew on buttons.

Change to needle size 3 mm and continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 12-12-12-14 sts evenly on first round = 58-62-66-72 sts. Now inc on both sides of middle st on the inside of leg on every 4th round: 1 st 5 times = 68-72-76-82 sts. When piece measures 19-21-24-28 cm divide piece at inside leg (= split) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Inc 1 st each side for seam. When piece measures 21-23-26-30 cm cast off 3 sts each side = 64-68-72-78 sts. Put piece aside and knit the other leg.

Anneli 12.10.2018 - 09:25:

Kris 13.08.2018 - 19:26:

The pattern states after M.2, complete piece in M.3. I don’t have an M.3 chart?

DROPS Design 23.08.2018 kl. 14:46:

Hi Kris. There was a mistake with the naming of the diagrams, this has now been corrected. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. Happy knitting

Claudia Lehne 13.03.2018 - 23:19:

Nessa Kennedy 30.09.2016 - 11:25:

I am new to Drops Patterns. What does M.1 mean? Does the M stand for the Main colour? What does the 1 mean? Thank you.

DROPS Design 30.09.2016 kl. 11:44:

Dear Mrs Kennedy, M.1 is the name of diagrams to work colour pattern, you'll find it at the very bottom of the page, near jumper measurement chart and diagram text just above, so that 1 white square = main colour and 1 black square = pattern colour. Read more about diagrams here. Happy knitting

Anna Krigh 08.06.2015 - 20:49:

Ingrid Van Der End-Budding 05.03.2014 - 17:30:
