Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
Crochet tension: Remember hook size is only a guide!
7 double treble crochets x 2 rows = approx. 10 x 8 cm.
NOTE: Because of the pattern it is difficult to measure the crochet tension; work a small sample just with double treble crochets, so that you get the right tension.
------------------------------------------------------------

Poncho: Work in the round from the neck down. For a description of how to work treble crochets and double treble crochets - see page 2 (Crochet school). NOTE: Triple double treble crochets are worked in the same way as double treble crochet but with 3 yarn overs (instead of 2), in other words there is 1 more yarn over and pull through than on the double treble crochet.

Donna 25.03.2019 - 16:50:

I bought one of these at a flea market and it had sparkle cubes worked in. Do you have a pattern for it in thread not yarn?

DROPS Design 26.03.2019 kl. 08:05:

Dear Donna, you will find all our knitted and crocheted poncho there - you can sort them using filters - all of them are worked with yarn. Happy crocheting!

Ingrid 20.10.2016 - 10:09:

This is a very easy pattern. I made it in yellow. It looks beautiful. Simple and elegant.

Kelly 03.10.2015 - 21:24:

I'm on row 7 as well & wondering what ddc is. Double double crochet ? Or is this a typo & should be a double treble (dtr)? Please help.

DROPS Design 05.10.2015 kl. 09:01:

Dear Kelly, it is a double treble crochet (US-terminology) see also below. Happy crocheting!

Judy 13.08.2015 - 19:53:

TC is treble crochet .... wrap yarn around hook 2 times, pull thru 2 loops and then thru 2 more loops

Judy 13.08.2015 - 19:52:

It is the same as a treble except you yarn over 3 times instead of 2 .... in the section of poncho it has Notes and explains ... Hope this helps

Mari-louice 11.10.2013 - 20:07:

Jag blev jättenöjd med min!

Beth Valdez 20.10.2012 - 04:34:

I'm a beginner at crocheting and love this poncho. I'm on row 7 and i'm stuck. I don't know how to do a double double crochet.

Dixie Grilley 18.06.2008 - 21:52:

I skimmed the pattern and I am not seeing the term "tc". I see the term "tr" which is treble crochet. If you tell me where it is refering to "tc" I could possibly give you more help.

Aggie Cooney 17.06.2008 - 07:05:

What does tc mean?
