Crochet gauge: 15 dc = approx. 20 cm in width.

Crochet tips: At the start of each row ch 3 replaces 1 dc and at the end of every row finish with 1 dc in the ch 3 from previous row.

Shawl: The shawl is crocheted from the top down.
Loosely ch 105-105-114-120. 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, then crochet 1 dc in each ch to end of row = 103-103-112-118 dc, turn the work. Continue on these dc for a total of 5-6-6-6 rows. Then crochet as follows (count the rows from here):
1st row: ch 5, skip over 2 dc, * 1 dc in the next dc, ch 2, skip over 2 dc *, repeat * - * and finish with 1 dc in last dc = 34-34-37-39 ch-loops.
2nd row: 1 dc in each dc and 2 dc in each ch-loop, increasing by crocheting 1 extra dc in 4-4-3-5 ch-loops evenly distributed on the row = 107-107-115-123 dc.
3rd row: ch 3, 1 dc in each of the 2 following dc, * ch 5, skip over 5 dc, 1 dc in each of the 3 following dc *, repeat * - * across row = 13-13-14-15 ch-loops.
4th row: ch 3, 1 dc in each of the 2 following dc, * ch 3, 1 sc in ch-loop, ch 3, 1 dc in each of the following 3 dc *, repeat * - * across row, turn the work.
5th row: ch 3, 1 dc in each of the 2 following dc, * ch 5, skip over ch-loop, 1 dc in each of the 3 following dc *, repeat * - * across row, turn the work.
6th row: Same as 4th row.
7th row: Same as 5th row but ch 6 between each dc-group (instead of ch 5).
