Pattern for sleeves: 6 rounds stocking stitch, * M.2, 4 rounds stocking stitch *, repeat from *-* upwards.
Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows.
Ridge/Garter stitch (in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round.
-------------------------------------------------------

Front piece: Front and back pieces are worked back and forth with circular needle and are sewn together afterwards. Cast on 56-62-68 (80-86-92) stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side for seam), with circular needle size 3.5 mm and off white. Work 2 ridges, work M.4 and then continue with off white and stocking stitch. When piece measures 9.5-10.5-13.5 (10.5-12.5-14) cm work pattern upwards over the middle 40-40-40 (40-40-40) stitches - but M.2 is worked out to the sides inside the 1 edge stitch - as follows:
Sizes 1/3 + 6/9 + 12/18 months: M.1, M.2, M.3 and then continue with off white; Sizes 2 + 3/4 + 5/6 years: M.3, M.2, M.1, M.2, M.3 and then continue with off white. Remember the knitting tension.
At the same time, when piece measures 20-21-24 (28-29-31) cm, cast off in each side for armholes every 2nd row: 3 stitches x 1, 2 stitches x 2-2-2 (3-2-2), 1 stitch x 1-1-1 (2-3-3) = 40-46-52 (58-66-72) cm. When piece measures 25-27-30 (35-39-42) cm cast off the middle 10-16-18 (20-24-26) stitches for neck. Then decrease for neck every 2nd row: 2 stitches x 1, 1 stitch x 1. At the same time, when piece measures 28-30-34 (39-43-46) cm, work M.5 - but the repeat is turned upside down (read the diagram from the top down). Cast off after M.5. The piece measures approx. 30-32-36 (41-45-48) cm.

Back piece: Cast on 56-62-68 (80-86-92) stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side for seam), with circular needle size 3.5 mm and off white. Work 2 ridges and then M.4 with 1 edge stitch in each side for seam. Continue working as described for front piece - but only work M.2 - the other patterns are worked in off white and stocking stitch instead.
When piece measures 24-25-28 cm in the 3 smallest sizes, cast off the middle 4-4-4 stitches for split and each part is finished separately. When piece measures 28-30-34 (39-43-46) cm work M.5 - but the repeat is worked upside down - at the same time as the middle (22-26-28) stitches in the 3 largest sizes are cast off. Then decrease for neck for all sizes every 2nd row: 4-7-8 (2-2-2) stitches x 1, 2 stitches x 1-1-1 (0-0-0). Cast off after M.5. The piece measures approx. 30-32-36 (41-45-48) cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 32-32-34 (36-36-40) stitches with double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and off white. Work 2 ridges and then M.4. Then work Pattern as described above at the same time as you increase mid under sleeve: 2 stitches x 5-7-8 (9-16-16) in Size 1/3 months: Alternately every and every 2nd round, Sizes 6/9 months + 3/4 years: Every 2nd round, Sizes12/18 months + 2 + 5/6 years: Alternately every 2nd and 3rd round = 42-46-50 (54-68-72) stitches. When piece measures 9-12-14 (14-19-22) cm, cast off 4 stitches mid under sleeve and finish working back and forth on needle. Then decrease in each side for sleeve cap every 2nd row: 2 stitches x 8-8-7 (9-9-9). Cast off when piece measures 16-19-20 (22-27-30) cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Knit up approx. 12-14-16 stitches along the split’s left side at back with circular needle size 3 mm and off white and work rib for 2 cm back and forth on needle, cast off. Repeat along the split’s right side but after 1 cm work 2 buttonholes placed as follows: First buttonhole: 1 stitch from top and second buttonhole: Midway between the first buttonhole and the bottom of the split - cast off 2 stitches and cast on 2 new stitches over the cast off stitches on the next row, cast off. Sew the bottom of the split with grafting stitches. Knit up approx. 84-90 stitches around neck with circular needle size 3 mm and off white and work 1 ridge, then work 1 ridge with olive, 1 ridge with blue and cast off with blue - work back and forth on the needle in the smallest sizes and in the round in the 3 largest sizes. Now crochet an edge around bottom of body and sleeves with hook size3 mm and off white as follows: 1 double crochet, * work 3 chain stitches, 1 treble crochet in the first chain stitch, skip 2 stitches and work 1 double crochet *, repeat from *-*. Crochet around the neck with blue in the same way - but not on the bands in the smallest sizes. Sew in the sleeves and sew on buttons.

Je finis de tricoter le 18 mois de ce modèle et 200g du coloris naturel ne suffisent pas. Il me manque une pelote
