Front: = 108 (114-118) sts. Continue dec for armhole on every other row 1 st 1(3-5) times = 106 (108-108) sts. Continue until piece measures 69 (71-73) cm. Cast off centre 36 (36-36) sts for neck opening. Decrease at neck edge on every other row, 2 sts once, 1st. twice. Continue until piece measures 74(76-78) cm. Cast off remaining sts.

Back: = 108 (114-118) sts. Continue dec for armhole on every other row 1 st 1(3-5) times = 106 (108-108) sts. Continue until piece measures 73 (75-77) cm. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and stocking st and at the same time dec 18 (18-10) sts evenly on first round = 58 (58-60) sts.
Continue as follows on next round: *6 (6-7) sts in stocking st, M.4, M.1, M.3, 6 (6-7) sts stocking st*, repeat *-* rest of round, at the same time inc underneath sleeve 2 sts 26(26-27) times on every 3rd round = 110 (110-114) sts, knit the increased sts in stocking st. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 110 or 120 sts around neck opening on short circular needle size 3,5 mm with colour no. 2. Knit 7-8 cm as follows: M.2, 1 ridge. Cast off. Sew in sleeves. Sew in the edge stich to avoid the seam being to bulky.

Dixie Grilley 31.07.2008 - 19:06:

Hi Lisa If you cast on 210 and increase 34 stitches you have 244 sts. Chart M4 & M3 are only 8sts wide. It's easy to miss but look at the brackets that show which stitches to use for M4 & M3. The total stitches worked over the charts equals 244. Good luck and enjoy. Feel free to email me any other questions you might have. Dixie

Lisa 31.07.2008 - 14:40:

On this pattern, for size large the instructions say to cast on 210 sts, then to increase 34 sts for a total of 246 sts which doesn't add up. The pattern repeat is 38 stockinette st, m4(10 sts), m1 (30 sts) m3 (10 sts), 38 stockinette st for a total of 126 sts, then repeat to end of rnd. This would be a total of 252 sts for the round when there's only in reality 244. Where do I adjust the pattern for the correct number of stitches?
