Pattern: See diagram M.1 and M.7. M.6: change the colours for flowers as follows: *off-white, plum, orange, red*, repeat from *-*. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.

Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows.
Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round.

Buttonholes: Make buttonholes on right front piece when piece measures 1-1-1, 13-11-12, 26-22-23, 39-33-34, 51-44-45 and 0-54-56 cm. 1 buttonhole = K tog 4th and 5th st from mid front and cast on 1 new st on return row.

Pocket inserts: Cast on 28 sts on needle size 5 mm with blue and work 11 cm stocking st back and forth on needle. Slip sts on a thread. Make 2.

Front and back piece:
Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front.
Cast on 204-214-224 sts on needle size 5 mm with blue and work 2 rows garter st. Continue in stocking st with 2 garter sts each side towards mid front (front bands, work these in blue throughout). When piece measures 1-2-3 cm work M.1 (beg and finish row with 6 blue sts, incl the 2 garter sts). Remember the knitting tension! After M.1 work M.2 (beg and finish row with 3-8-4 blue sts, incl the 2 garter sts). After M.2 work 3 rows blue and then continue in M.3 (beg and finish as described for M.1). At the same time when piece measures 12-12-12 cm work next row as follows from RS: 2 garter sts, 15-16-17 stocking sts, cast off 28 sts for pocket opening, 114-122-130 stocking sts, cast off 28 sts for pocket opening, 15-16-17 stocking sts, 2 garter sts. On next row slip pocket inserts on needle over pocket openings. After M.3 continue in M.4 (beg and finish with 2-7-2 blue sts, inc the 2 garter sts), then work 3 rows blue and continue in M.5 (beg and finish as described for M.1). After M.5 work M.6 (beg and finish with 4-2-8 blue sts, incl the 2 garter sts) – see explanation above for colours. At the same time when piece measures 35-38-40 cm divide the piece in 2 with 54-56-59 sts on each front piece and 96-102-106 sts on back piece and complete each piece separately.

Front piece: = 54-56-59 sts. After M.6 continue in pattern as follows: 3 rows blue, M.7 (make sure to have M.7 over M.1), M.8 (beg with 4-5-6 blue sts, incl the 2 garter sts, towards mid front), 3 rows blue, M.1 (make sure to have M.1 over M.7), and now complete piece in blue. At the same time when piece measures 52-55-55 cm dec to shape the neckline towards mid front on every other row: 6 sts 1 time (= front band), 5-6-7 sts 1 time, 3 sts 2 times and 1 st 4 times. Cast off when piece measures 60-63-65 cm.

Back piece: = 96-102-106 sts. After M.6 continue in pattern as follows: 3 rows blue, M.7 (make sure to have M.7 over M.1), M.8 (beg and finish with 0-3-5 blue sts), 3 rows blue, M.1 (make sure to have M.1 over M.7), and now complete piece in blue. At the same time when piece measures 58-61-63 cm cast off the middle 28-32-32 sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row. Cast off when piece measures 60-63-65 cm.

Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 42-42-44 sts on double pointed needle size 5 mm with blue and work 2 rounds garter st. Continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 2 sts mid under arm on every 4th round for size S+M and on every 4th and 5th round alternately for size L, a total of 22-22-21 times = 86-81-86 sts. At the same time when piece measures 2-2-2 cm continue in pattern as described for body piece (make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper sleeve). After M.6 complete piece in blue. Cast off when piece measures 46-45-45 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 90 to 94 sts round neckline on needle size 5 mm with blue and work 2 rows garter st back and forth on needle, cast off. Now crochet a border round the opening on crochet hook size 5 mm with double thread blue as follows: 1 row dc, with 120 dc along bottom edge, 55 dc along each front piece and 50 dc round neckline. Crochet next round as follows: *pick up thread through first dc, pull thread approx 2 cm long, twist crochet hook 360 degrees clockwise, make a new loop and pull this through both sts on hook*, repeat from *-*. Now repeat both rounds round sleeve edges (approx 25 dc) and along pocket openings (approx 18 dc). Sew pocket inserts to front pieces. Set in sleeves. Sew on buttons.
