We do our best to make our patterns easy to follow.

For that purpose, each of our patterns has specific tutorial videos to help you, which you will find at the bottom of the page.

We have also step-by-step lessons to help you understand some of the techniques we use in our patterns. You'll find them here!

Pattern: See diagram for appropriate size. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.
Stripes: *8 rows beige, 2 rows off-white, 2 rows beige, 8 rows off-white, 2 rows white, 2 rows off-white, 8 rows white, 2 rows off-white, 2 rows white, 8 rows off-white, 2 rows beige, 2 rows off-white*, repeat from *-*.
Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows.
Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round.
Buttonholes: Make buttonholes on right front piece when piece measures 1-1-1, 11-12-12, 22-23-24, 33-34-35, 43-45-47, 53-56-58 and 63-66-69 cm. 1 buttonhole = K tog 3rd and 4th st from mid front and cast on 1 new st on return row.

Body piece: Worked back and forth on circular needle from mod front. Front and back pieces are worked separately until after the split.
Left front piece: Cast on 53-57-59 sts on needle size 3.5 with beige and work 6 rows garter st back and forth on needle. Change to needle size 5 mm and continue in pattern and stripes (see diagram for appropriate size and beg by arrow) with 5 sts towards mid front (front band) and 3 sts at side in garter st. When piece measures 10 cm put it aside and knit right front piece.
Right front piece: Like left front piece, but mirrored. Remember buttonholes!

Back piece: Cast on 97-104-110 sts on needle size 3.5 mm with beige and work 6 rows garter st back and forth on needle. Change to needle size 5 mm and continue in pattern (beg by arrow) and stripes with 3 sts each side in garter st. When piece measures 10 cm put back and front pieces on the same circular needle.

Body piece: = 203-218-228 sts. Now include the 3 +3 sts at the sides in pattern, but continue in garter sts on 5 sts each side towards mid front for front bands. When piece measures 51-54-56 cm work next row as follows: 53-57-59 sts = front piece, 97-104-110 = back piece, 53-57-59 sts = front piece and complete each piece separately.

Front piece: = 53-57-59 sts. Continue with front band sts and 5 sts on armhole in garter st. When piece measures 64-67-70 cm slip the 5 front band sts on a thread. Dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 4-5-4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 5 times. Cast off when piece measures 74-77-80 cm.

Back piece: = 97-104-110 sts. Continue with 5 sts each side towards armhole in garter st. When piece measures 72-75-78 cm cast off the middle 25-26-26 sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row. Cast off when piece measures 74-77-80 cm.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 90 to 96 sts (incl sts on threads) round neckline on needle size 3.5 mm with off-white and work 6 rows garter st back and forth on needle from mid front (with front band sts in garter st as before), cast off. Sew on buttons.
