Sweater in Cotton Chenille.

This pattern still doesn't have a name. Suggest one!

Finished measurements: 102 (112-120) cm

Materials: DROPS COTTON CHENILLE
(100% cotton)
550 (600-700) g col. 13, orange

DROPS 4 mm straight and circular needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: 14 sts x 26 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm .

Alternate yarn (very important -- if this alternate yarn is used, use needle sizes and gauges listed below and see special notes below):
* DROPS VIENNA
(90% mohair, 10% polyester)
400 (450-500) g col. 56, orange
DROPS 6 mm straight and circular needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge: 14 sts x 16 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm

Special note: If you knit with Vienna the row gauge will be different. Vienna = 14 sts x 16 rows - Cotton Chenille = 14 sts x 26 rows. This affects increasing, decreasing and binding off as follows:
«every 4th row» is changed to «alternately every other and every 3rd row»
«alternately every 4th and 5th row» is changed to
«alternately every 2nd and 3rd row»

It might help to let people know that, when knitting flat, the first and last stitch on each row are the selvedge stitches. That way the count for the ribbing actually comes out right.
