DROPS circular needles 3 mm [US 2] and 4 mm [US 6] or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge.

DROPS crochet hook 4 mm [US G] (3 mm [US D]), or size needed to obtain correct gauge.

Gauge: Cotton Chenille: 14 sts and 26 rows on 4 mm [US 6] needle in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm [4»x4»]
(Tynn Chenille: 20 sts and 32 rows on 2.5 mm [US 1]needle in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm [4»x4»]

Crochet gauge: 13 (16) dc = 10 cm. [4»]

Seed stitch (on an even number of sts): 1st row: *K1, P1*
2nd row: *P1, K1*
Seed stitch (on an odd numbers of sts):all rows: K1, *P1, K1*
Seed stitch worked in the round:
Row 1: *K1, P1*
Row 2: Knit the purls and purl the knits from the row below.

Body: All numbers in () = Tynn Chenille. Knit back and forth on circular needles.
Cast on 118-122-126 (166-170-174) sts (includes 2 edge sts) on smaller circular needles and purl 1 row. Place markers as follows: Knit 30-31-32 (42-43-44) sts front, place marker, knit 58-60-62 (82-84-86) sts back, place marker, knit 30-31-32 (42-43-44) sts front. Change to larger circular needles and knit stockinette stitch. At the same time, inc at the sides on each side of the markers: 1 st 6-6-7 (9-10-11) times.
Sizes S+L: every 5th (4th) row.
Size M: every 6th (4th) row. 142-146-154 (202-210-218) sts.
When the work measures 17-18-19 cm [6.75"-7-1/8"-7.5»], knit the next row as follows: knit 34-35-37 (49-51-53) sts front, bind off 4 (4) sts for armholes, knit 66-68-72 (96-100-104) sts back, bind off 4 (4) sts for armholes, knit 34-35-37 (49-51-53) sts front. Knit the rest of each part separately from this point.

Front: 34-35-37 (49-51-53) sts. Bind off for armholes every other row: 3 sts 0-0-0 (1-1-1) time, 2 sts 1-2-2 (2-2-3) times, 1 st 4-3-4 (3-4-3) times. 28-28-29 (39-40-41) sts. At the same time, when the work measures 20-22-24 cm [7-7/8"-8-5/8"-9.5»], bind off for the neck every other row: 3-4-4 (4-5-5) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 (2) times, 1 st 4 (4) times, and every 4th row: 1 st 2 (3) times.
When the work measures 37-39-41 cm [14-5/8"-15-3/8"-16-1/8"], bind off for the shoulder every other row: 4 (5) sts 3-3-3 (4-4-4) times, 5-4-5 (4-4-5) sts 1 time. All sts on the shoulder should now have been bound off and the work measures 40-42-44 cm [15.75"-16.5»-17-3/8"].

Back: 66-68-72 (96-100-104) sts. Bind off for armholes as on the front. 54-54-56 (76-78-80) sts. When the work measures 37-39-42 cm [14-5/8"-15-3/8"-16-1/8"], bind off for the shoulder as on the front. At the same time, when the work measures 38-40-42 cm [15»-15.75"-16.5], bind off the center 16-18-18 (24-26-26) sts for the neck. Then bind off 2 sts on each side of the neck edge on the next row. All sts on the shoulder should now have been bound off and the work measures 40-42-44 cm [15.75"-16.5-17-3/8"].

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approximately 26-34 (38-46) sts along the left front on smaller circular needles with beige-blue-mixed and knit 3 cm [1-1/8"] in Seed stitch back and forth on the needles. Bind off all sts. Repeat along the right front, but after 1 cm [3/8"] make 4 (4) buttonholes evenly distributed on the row. 1 Buttonhole = bind off 2 (3) sts and cast on 2 (3) new sts over the bound-off sts on the next row.
Pick up approximately 90 (125) sts around the neck and over the button band on smaller circular needles with beige-blue-mixed and purl 1 row. Bind off all sts.

Crochet border: Work a row of approximately 125-135 (156-164) dc around the lower edge of the body. Then work a row of dc in the opposite direction, that is to say, from left to right without turning the work. Work 1 dc from the right side into each dc from the previous row. Repeat both rows around the armhole over approximately 65-75 (75-85) dc and around the neck over approximately 90-100 (120-125) dc. Sew on the buttons.
