Hei!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. Choose diagram for your size (applies to A.2 and A.3). DECREASE/INCREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to decrease/increase evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 194 stitches) and divide by the number of decreases/increases to be made (e.g. 18) = 10.8. In this example, decrease by knitting together approx. each 10th and 11th stitch. When increasing, make 1 yarn over after approx. each 11th stitch. On the next round work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP (for sleeves): Start 2 stitches before the marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread sits between these 4 stitches), 1 yarn over. On the next round knit the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE. The body is worked in the round with circular needle bottom up as far as the armholes. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/short circular needle, bottom up. The body and sleeves are worked together and the yoke is finished in the round with circular needle. BODY: Cast on 194-212-228-246-268-294 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm and Merino Extra Fine or Cotton Merino. Knit 1 round. Then work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 3 cm. Change to circular needle size 4.5 mm. Knit 1 round where you decrease 18-20-20-22-24-26 stitches evenly spaced – read DECREASE/INCREASE TIP = 176-192-208-224-244-268 stitches. Continue with stocking stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 25-28-28-28-28-28 cm, cast off for the armholes on the next round as follows: Cast off 3-3-4-4-5-5 stitches, work 82-90-96-104-112-124 stitches in stocking stitch, cast off 6-6-8-8-10-10 stitches, work 82-90-96-104-112-124 stitches in stocking stitch, cast off the last 3-3-4-4-5-5 stitches. Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. Lay the piece to one side and work the sleeves. SLEEVES: Cast on 44-46-48-50-52-54 stitches with double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and Merino Extra Fine or Cotton Merino. Knit 1 round. Then work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 10 cm. Change to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm. Knit 1 round where you increase 6 stitches evenly spaced in all sizes – read DECREASE/INCREASE TIP = 50-52-54-56-58-60 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread at the beginning of the round = mid under sleeve. Allow the thread to follow your work onwards, it is used when increasing under the sleeve. Work stocking stitch. When the piece measures 12-12-12-13-12-14 cm, increase 2 stitches under the sleeve – read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 5-4½-3½-2½-2-1½ cm a total of 7-8-9-12-15-16 times = 64-68-72-80-88-92 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 44-45-44-44-42-41 cm (shorter measurements in larger sizes, due to wider neck and longer yoke). On the next round cast off for the armhole as follows: Cast off 3-3-4-4-5-5 stitches, work 58-62-64-72-78-82 stitches in stocking stitch and cast off the last 3-3-4-4-5-5 stitches. Cut the strand and pull it through the last stitch. Work the other sleeve in the same way. YOKE: Place the sleeves on the same circular needle size 4.5 mm as the body, where stitches were cast off for the armholes (without working the stitches) = 280-304-320-352-380-412 stitches. Insert 1 marker on the round – the yoke is measured from this marker. Start in the transition between back piece and right sleeve, and work stocking stitch in the round for 2-2-3-1-3-4 cm – AT THE SAME TIME, on the first round decrease 7-10-5-16-2-13 stitches evenly spaced = 273-294-315-336-378-399 stitches. Work A.1 in the round – NOTE: On round 6 in A.1 knit the last stitch on the round (applies to sizes XS, M and L). When A.1 has been completed in height, work A.2 (= 13-14-15-16-18-19 repeats of 21 stitches). Continue this pattern and decrease as shown in the diagram. When you have worked as far as the round marked with an arrow in A.2 there are 182-196-210-224-252-266 stitches on the needle. On the round marked with an arrow in A.2 decrease 13-14-28-14-28-28 stitches evenly spaced = 169-182-182-210-224-238 stitches. When A.2 has been completed in height, work A.3 (= 13-14-14-15-16-17 repeats of 13-13-13-14-14-14 stitches). Continue this pattern and decrease as shown in the diagram. When A.3 has been completed, there are 117-126-126-135-144-153 stitches and the piece measures approx. 19-19-20-22-24-25 cm from the marker. Continue with stocking stitch until the yoke measures 19-19-21-22-24-26 cm from the marker. Knit 1 round where you decrease 25-30-30-31-36-41 stitches evenly spaced = 92-96-96-104-108-112 stitches. NECK: Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1) for 3 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. The jumper measures approx. 47-50-52-54-56-58 cm from the shoulder down. ASSEMBLY: Sew the openings under the sleeves. |
