I'm working the Sailor Blues jacket in size Medium . I'm at Increase 1: ...A.1 until there are 7 stitches left (= 13-14-15-16-18-19 repeats of 5 stitches). When A.1 has been completed you have increased 26-28-30-32-36-38 stitches = 105-112-119-126-140-147 stitches. I increased one stitch every 5 stitches 15 times which = 15 not 30, so I'm 14 stiches short. Should I be increasing twice every 5 stitches? Thank you

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Jane, This lesson explains how to increase evenly on a row, this might help you to get the correct number of stitches increased. Happy knitting!

I am making “Just In Tweed” for my grandson. I have reached the part in the yoke in which I have the correct number of stitches for his size, and am told to “continue working until the piece measures 7.5” from the marker on the neck.” Am I supposed to continue in straight knit, or continue adding stitches at the raglan markers? Thank you very much.

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Margery, if you have the correct amount of stitches, continue knitting straight. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

I donot understand how to apply the graphA1 on the pattern. Please will you explain. How many stitches and rows are represented by each block. The graph a1 that I am referring to in the Above pattern get more frequent if I read each line independently. Please explain each line

31.07.2022 - 14:55:

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Ruth, this lesson is about the schematic drawings, that is, the measurement schematic below the pattern instructions. For help regarding knitting graphs, you can consult the following link:https://www.garnstudio.com/lesson.php?id=68&cid=19 One square = 1 stitch usually and each row of the graph is a row of the garment/patterns. In any case, it would be easier to solve your doubts if you indicate the pattern number of the model you are trying to knit.

En général S me va.

Mvh DROPS Design

Dear Eugenia, measure a similar garment you have and like the size and compare these measurements to the ones in the chart, this is the best way to find the matching size. Happy knitting!

I am working on the Cable Princess pattern b17-1. I have knitted the jacket untilthe yoke measures 4" and now must begin the neckline. The pattern says to slip 8 sts each side towards the mid front, I am not sure what you mean by the mid front? A picture indicating the midfront would be most helpful. Is the midfront the opening of the garment? Please advise, Thanks in advance, Sabine

22.06.2022 - 17:18:

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Sabine, the midfront is the opening of the garment. So, from the opening, you count towards each side 8 sts, including the edge stitches. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Dear Victoria, we are unfortunately not able to adjust every pattern to every single request, but you can take help/inspiration from another similar pattern in size XS (see for ex. jumpers in XS here - you can then sort by tension/yarn etc...). Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

Dear Mrs Cochrane, remember to measure a similar garment she has and likes the shape; then you can maybe check with the patterns in size 7/8 years, see for examples jumpers in this size here. Happy knitting!
