Knitted DROPS shawl worked sideways in ”Vivaldi” and ”Delight”.

Yarn group A

Measurements:
Length at the top: approx. 160 cm
Width on the middle: approx. 40 cm
Materials:
DROPS VIVALDI from Garnstudio
50 g colour no 35, denim blue
And use:
DROPS DELIGHT from Garnstudio
50 g colour no 15, turquoise/burgundy/beige

DROPS STRAIGHT NEEDLES OR CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) SIZE 5 mm - or size needed to get 19 sts x 37 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

STRIPES:
K 2 rows with Delight and K 2 rows with Vivaldi - repeat up the entire shawl. NOTE: Do not tighten thread when changing thread.

MEASURING TIP:
Measure length along the straight edge without inc/dec. Measure width from the straight edge to the edge with inc/dec.

SHAWL:
Worked back and forth on needle from side to side.
Cast on 5 sts on needle size 5 mm with Vivaldi - read GARTER ST and STRIPES. Work in garter st and stripes while AT THE SAME TIME inc 1 st every 4th row by working 2 sts in last st - make sure not to tighten when changing colour. Repeat until piece measures 80 cm in length and approx. 40 cm in width – read MEASURING TIP. Now dec 1 st on every 4th row in the same side as inc by K tog the outermost 2 sts. When 5 sts remain, cast off, piece measures approx. 160 cm.
