CROCHET TENSION:
16 treble crochets in width and 12 rows in height with alternating treble crochets and double crochets = 10 x 10 cm.
CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 4.5 MM.
Hook size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger hook size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller hook size.

WHOLE SET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The mats are worked from the middle outwards according to the diagrams.
COASTER:
Using hook size 4.5 mm and Paris, work a chain-stitch ring as shown in the diagram. Work A.1 (shows how the rounds begin and end), then diagrams A.2 and A.3 alternately until they have been worked a total of 9 times around the chain-stitch ring.
REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
Continue working like this. When the diagrams have been completed in height, finish the round with 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet worked at the beginning of the round. Cut and fasten the strand.
PLACE MAT:
Using hook size 4.5 mm and Paris, work a chain-stitch ring as shown in the diagram. Work A.4 (shows how the rounds begin and end), then diagrams A.5 and A.6 alternately until they have been worked a total of 9 times around the chain-stitch ring.
Continue working like this. When the diagrams have been completed in height, finish the round with 1 slip stitch in the first double crochet worked at the beginning of the round. Cut and fasten the strand.
TABLE MAT:
Using hook size 4.5 mm and Paris, work a chain-stitch ring as shown in the diagram. Work A.7 (shows how the rounds begin and end), then diagrams A.8 and A.9 alternately until they have been worked a total of 9 times around the chain-stitch ring.
