Crochet make-up pad with treble crochets and relief-treble crochets in DROPS Safran. The piece is worked in the round, middle out.

SIZE:
1 make-up pad measures approx. 8 cm in diameter.
MATERIALS:
DROPS SAFRAN from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
50 g colour 59, red clay
50 g colour 56, powder pink
50 g colour 22, light brown
50 g colour 18, off white
1 make-up pad weighs approx. 4 g; you can make 12 pads out of 50 g.
CROCHET TENSION:
24 treble crochets in width and 13 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm.
CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3 MM.
Hook size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger hook size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller hook size.

CHAIN STITCH:
If you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 double/treble/double-treble crochet is wide.

MAKE-UP PADS – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round, middle out.
MAKE-UP PAD:
Using crochet hook size 3 mm and Safran, start by working a chain-stitch ring as described in the diagram, read CHAIN STITCH in explanations above.
Then crochet as follows around the ring: Work diagram A.1 (1 time), then repeat diagram A.2 a total of 6 times. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
When the diagrams have been completed in height, the piece measures approx. 8 cm in diameter. Cut and fasten the strand.
