SIZE:
1 cloth measures approx. 25 x 25 cm.
MATERIALS:
DROPS SAFRAN from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
50 g colour 58, amethyst
50 g colour 23, brown
50 g colour 22, light brown
1 cloth weighs approx. 35 g
KNITTING TENSION:
26 stitches in width and 34 rows in height with stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
NEEDLES:
DROPS NEEDLES SIZE 2.5 MM.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth):
Knit all rows.
1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows.

START THE PIECE HERE:

CLOTHS – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The cloths are worked back and forth on the needle.
CLOTH:
Cast on 65 stitches with needle size 2.5 mm and Safran.
Work 2 RIDGES over all stitches – read description above. On the last row of the ridges, increase 8 stitches evenly spaced = 73 stitches.
Then work as follows from the right side: Work 3 stitches in garter stitch, A.1 over the next 66 stitches, work the first stitch in A.1 and finish with 3 stitches in garter stitch.
REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Continue working according to the diagram and with garter stitch edges until the piece measures approx. 24 cm; adjust so you finish after a complete repeat in height and decrease 8 stitches evenly spaced on the last row = 65 stitches. Work 2 ridges and cast off with knit on the next row. Cut and fasten the strand.
Work 1 cloth in each colour.
