SIZE:
Approx. 3 cm in width, measured flat.
MATERIALS:
DROPS BABY MERINO from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group A)
50 g colour 45, lemon
50 g colour 46, rose
The piece weighs approx. 12 g
KNITTING TENSION:
24 stitches in width and 32 rows in height with stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm.
NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 3 MM: Length 40 cm for stocking stitch.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3 MM.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.
ACCESSORIES:
Trouser elastic, approx. 20 cm

START THE PIECE HERE:

HAIR-BAND – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The hair-band is worked in the round with circular needle, folded double in length and crocheted together to finish.
Cast on 108 stitches with short circular needle size 3 mm and 1 strand of lemon or rose. Work stocking stitch in the round until the piece measures 6 cm, cast off. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
CROCHET EDGE:
Lay the cast-on and cast-off edges together and work a row of double crochets through both layers. Work with lemon or rose and hook size 3 mm. Work approx. 1 double crochet through each stitch until there is approx. 5 cm left. Thread the elastic through the hair-band, tie a knot in the elastic and then crochet the last 5 cm together. Cut and fasten the strands.
