SIZES:
Width: approx. 45 - 65 cm. Length: approx. 52 - 80 cm.

MATERIALS:
DROPS AIR from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group C)
100-150 g colour 18, light grey green

KNITTING TENSION:
14 stitches in width and 36 rows in height with English rib = 10 x 10 cm.

NEEDLES:
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE SIZE 5 MM: Length 60 or 80 cm.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth):
Knit all rows.
1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows.

ENGLISH RIB (back and forth):
ROW 1 (right side): Work 3 stitches in GARTER STITCH – see description above, * knit 2 together (= 1 stitch decreased), 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl *, work from *-* until there are 5 stitches left, finish with knit 2 together (= 1 stitch decreased) and 3 stitches in garter stitch.
ROW 2: Work 3 stitches in garter stitch, * 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, knit together the yarn over and the slipped stitch*, work from *-* until there are 4 stitches left, finish with 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl and 3 stitches in garter stitch.
ROW 3: Work 3 stitches in garter stitch, * knit together the yarn over and the slipped stitch, 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl*, work from *-* until there is 1 yarn over and 4 stitches left, knit together the yarn over and the slipped stitch and work 3 stitches in garter stitch.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 onwards.

BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle.

BLANKET:
Cast on 92-134 stitches with circular needle size 5 mm and Air. Work ENGLISH RIB – read description above. When row 1 has been worked there are 65-93 stitches on the needle (yarn overs not counted). Continue repeating rows 2 and 3 in English rib until the piece measures approx. 52-80 cm or to desired length. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION. Cast off with knit over knit/garter stitches and with purl over purl – yarn overs cast off with purl to leave a loose edge.
