100 g colour 18, off white
50 g colour 02, pink
50 g colour 11, strong yellow
50 g colour 28, orange
50 g colour 50, mint
50 g colour 04, sage green

KNITTING TENSION:
21 stitches in width and 33 rows in height with double moss stitch in height and 2 strands = 10 x 10 cm.

NEEDLES:
DROPS NEEDLES SIZE 3 MM.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

COLOUR:
CLOTH-1:
Cast-on+ 2 ridges with 2 strands orange
Pattern A.1 with 1 strand orange + 1 strand pink (= 2 strands).
2 ridges with 2 strands orange.

CLOTH-2:
Cast-on + 2 ridges with 2 strands strong yellow
Pattern A.1 with 1 strand strong yellow + 1 strand off white (= 2 strands).
2 ridges with 2 strands strong yellow.

CLOTH-3:
Cast-on + 2 ridges with 2 strands pink
Pattern A.1 with 1 strand pink + 1 strand off white (= 2 strands).
2 ridges with 2 strands pink.

CLOTH-4:
Cast-on + 2 ridges with 2 strands mint
Pattern A.1 with 1 strand mint + 1 strand off white (= 2 strands).
2 ridges with 2 strands mint.

CLOTH-5:
Cast-on + 2 ridges with 2 strands sage green
Pattern A.1 with 1 strand sage green + 1 strand off white (= 2 strands).
2 ridges with 2 strands sage green.

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth):
Knit all rows.
1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows.

START THE PIECE HERE:

CLOTH – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth with 2 strands, in 5 different colour combinations.

CLOTH:
Cast on 48 stitches with needle size 3 mm and 2 strands of the cast-on colour – read COLOURS above. Work 2 RIDGES – read description above. Change to 1 strand of each colour and continue with pattern as follows – from the right side: Work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch, repeat A.1 (= 2 stitches) until there are 2 stitches left and work 2 edge stitches in garter stitch. Repeat A.1 in height. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 22 cm - adjust to after row 2 or 4 in the pattern, change to 2 strands of the cast-on colour. Work 2 ridges then loosely cast off.
