PATTERN:
See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side.
INCREASE TIP (for sides of body):

TOP - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round with circular needle as far as the armholes, then stitches are cast off for the armholes and the front and back pieces are continued separately back and forth on needle.
TOP:
Cast on 116-128-140-160-176-192 stitches with circular needle size 5 mm and light blue. Work STRIPES – read description above and pattern as follows: * Purl 1, A.1 over the next 56-62-68-78-86-94 stitches, work the first stitch in A.1 *, work from *-* 1 more time on the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 2 cm increase 1 stitch on each side of the purled stitch on each side of the piece – read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 2 cm a total of 3 times = 128-140-152-172-188-204 stitches. When the piece measures 13-14-15-16-17-18 cm cast off 9-9-11-11-13-13 stitches on each side of the piece as follows: Cast off the first 5-5-6-6-7-7 stitches on the round (= purled stitch in side + the next 4-4-5-5-6-6 stitches), work the next 55-61-65-75-81-89 stitches, cast off the next 9-9-11-11-13-13 stitches (= purled stitch in side + 4-4-5-5-6-6 stitches on each side of this stitch), work the next 55-61-65-75-81-89 stitches and cast off the last 4-4-5-5-6-6 stitches on the round. Cut the strand.
FRONT PIECE:
Now work back and forth over one of the pieces as follows:
Continue back and forth with moss stitch/A.1 as before. AT THE SAME TIME cast off stitches on each side as follows: Cast off 1 stitch every 4th row 8-8-9-7-6-6 times and every 2nd row 5-6-6-11-14-16 times = 29-33-35-39-41-45 stitches.
Now work 2 rows in pattern A.1 as before and work a hole in each side to be able to thread the straps through, as follows:
ROW 1: Work the first 2 stitches, knit 2 together, 1 yarn over, continue working until there are 4 stitches left on row, 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over, work the last 2 stitches on the row.
ROW 2: Work pattern A.1 as before.
Cast off with knit over purl and purl over knit. Cut and fasten the strand. The top measures approx. 28-30-32-34-36-38 cm from the cast-off edge to the cast-on edge.
BACK PIECE:
Work in the same way as the front piece.
STRAPS:
Make twisted cords for straps with ice blue as follows:
Cut 4 strands of 1.5 metres in length. Twist them together until they begin to resist, fold them double and they will continue to twist. Tie a knot in each end and cut both ends to leave a small tassel. Make another cord in the same way. Thread the cord through the hole on the one side of the front piece, thread the cord through the hole on the other side of the back piece and tie a knot on the shoulder. Repeat on the other side of the top.
