HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE GARMENT:
Worked in the round on a short circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when needed.
HAT:
Cast on 70-80-90-100 stitches with Baby Merino on a short circular needle size 3 mm. Work 2 ridges in GARTER STITCH – see explanation above, then work A.1 over all stitches (= 7-8-9-10 repetitions of 10 stitches). Work A.1 until piece measures 13-14-15-16 cm, adjust after one whole repetition vertically. Insert 1 marker thread in first stitch in each repetition in diagram = 7-8-9-10 marker threads. Then work diagram one more time, AT THE SAME TIME decrease on the rounds marked with arrows. Decrease as follows: Slip stitch before stitch with marker, knit stitch with marker + the next stitch together, pass the slipped stitch over (= 2 stitches decreased). Repeat this decrease on all repetitions at the 3 arrows, i.e. decrease 42-48-54-60 stitches = 28-32-36-40 stitches remain on needle. After last round of A.1 work 1 round in stocking stitch, AT THE SAME TIME work all stitches together 2 by 2 = 14-16-18-20 stitches remain on needle. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten tog and fasten.
