INFORMATION FOR PATTERN:

GARTER STITCH (worked in the round):
1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1. When this pattern is worked in the round, right side will be on the inside of piece. I.e. that piece is worked with wrong side outwards and then turned inside out when done.
----------------------------------------------------------

HAT:
Worked in the round on circular needle, switch to double pointed needles when needed. Cast on 92-100-108 stitches on circular needle size 4.5 mm with mustard. Work 1 round with rib (= knit 2/purl 2). Switch to light grey. Continue with rib until piece measures 14 cm. Purl 1 round and decrease 20 stitches evenly (decrease approx. every 5th stitch) = 72-80-88 stitches. Knit 1 round. Switch to circular needle size 5 mm. Then work blueberry pattern - see diagram A.1 - over all stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 25-26-27 cm, work in GARTER ST - see explanation above, over all stitches. On 1st round decrease 8 stitches evenly. Decrease like this every 4th round 5-5-6 times in total = 32-40-40 stitches.
Work all stitches together 2 by 2 on each of the next 2 rows = 8-10-10 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 31-32-34 cm. NOTE! Remember to turn the hat inside out so that the pattern is on right side before fastening the yarn.
----------------------------------------------------------

NECK WARMER:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 120-136-152 stitches on circular needle size 5 mm with Alaska. Work 1 ridge in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above. Then work A.1 over all stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 25-28-30 cm, work 1 ridge, then cast off. NOTE! Remember to turn the neck warmer inside out so that the pattern is on right side before fastening the yarn.
