Egg warmer for Easter, worked back and forth in DROPS Paris.

Measurements:
Circumference at bottom: 16 cm. Height without pompom: 7 cm.
Materials:
DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio (belongs to yarn group C)
50 g colour 14, strong yellow
50 g colour 35, vanilla
50 g colour 41, mustard
One egg warmer weighs approx. 15 g.
DROPS NEEDLES SIZE 3.5 MM – or the size needed to get 20 stitches and 27 rows stocking stitch on 10 cm in width and 10 cm in height.

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth):
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.

EGG WARMER:
The egg warmer is worked back and forth on the needle, then sewn together down the side.
Cast on 37 stitches with needle size 3.5 mm and strong yellow. Work 4 rows stocking stitch (row 1 = right side) = rolled edge.
Work rib as follows: 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH – see description above, knit 1, purl 3, * knit 2, purl 3 *, repeat from *-* until there are 2 stitches left on the needle, knit 1, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch. Continue with rib back and forth in this way until you have worked 8 rows. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Now decrease as follows:
ROW 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, knit 1, purl 2 together, purl 1, * knit 2, purl 2 together, purl 1 *, repeat from *-* until there are 2 stitches left on the needle, knit 1, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 30 stitches.
ROW 2 AND THE REMAINING ROWS FROM THE WRONG SIDE: Knit over knit and purl over purl with 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side.
ROW 3: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, knit 1, purl 2 together, * knit 2, purl 2 together *, repeat from *-* until there are 2 stitches left on the needle, knit 1, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 23 stitches.
ROW 5: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, * knit 1, knit 2 together *, repeat from *-* until there is 1 stitch left on the needle, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 16 stitches.
ROW 7: 1 edge stitch in garter stitch, knit 2 and 2 stitches together until there is 1 stitch left on the needle, 1 edge stitch in garter stitch = 9 stitches.
Cut the strand but leave approx. 25 cm for assembly.
Thread the end of the strand through the remaining stitches and pull tight. Sew the seam down the egg warmer inside the 1 edge stitch in garter stitch in each side so that you have a neat seam. Fasten the strand.
POMPOM:
Make 1 pompom of approx. 4 cm in diameter with strong yellow. Sew it on to the top of the egg warmer.
Work another egg warmer in the same way with vanilla and mustard.
