Crochet DROPS basket with reverse dc and stripes in 2 strands "Paris".

Measurements: Diameter: approx. 18 cm Height: approx. 8 cm
Materials:
DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio
100 g colour no 41, mustard
50 g colour no 17, off white
50 g colour no 23, light grey

NOTE: Basket worked with one colour = 150 g Paris.

DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 6 mm – or size needed to get 12 dc with 2 strands = width 10 cm.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1.

STRIPE COLOURS:
ROUNDS 1-4: Off white
ROUNDS 5-8: Mustard
ROUNDS 9-10: Off white
ROUNDS 11-12: Light grey

CROCHET INFO:
Beg every round with 1 ch and finish with 1 sl st in 1st ch at beg of round (ch does not replace first dc).

REVERSE DC:
Work as dc but backwards. I.e. crochet around from left to right

BASKET:
Work 4 ch on hook size 6 mm with 2 strands mustard and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 6 dc in ch-ring.
ROUND 2: Work 2 dc in every dc = 12 dc.
ROUND 3: Work * 2 dc in first/next dc, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 dc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
ROUND 4: Work * 2 dc in first/next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc.
ROUND 5: Work * 2 dc in first/next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 30 dc.
ROUND 6: Work * 2 dc in first/next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 4 dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 dc.
Continue to work like this (i.e. work 1 dc more between inc on every round) until piece measures approx. 18 cm in diameter (or desired measurement). NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE!

Then work edge as follows: Remember CROCHET INFO! Work 1 round with 1 REVERSE DC in every dc - see explanation above. Then work according to diagram A.1, i.e. work as follows:
ROUND 1: READ STRIPE COLOURS. Work * 1 dc around first/next dc from last round on bottom (i.e. work around reverse dc), 1 ch, skip 1 dc from last round on bottom *, repeat from *-* the entire round.
ROUND 2: Work * 1 reverse dc around last/next ch, 1 reverse dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 ch, 1 dc around last/next ch from next to last round *, repeat from *-* the entire round.
ROUND 4: Work * 1 reverse dc in last/next dc, 1 reverse dc around next ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round.
ROUND 5: Work * 1 dc around last/next ch from next to last round, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round.
ROUND 6: Work * 1 reverse dc around last/next ch, 1 reverse dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round. Piece measures approx. 5 cm.
Repeat rounds 3-6 1 more time, then work round 3 and 4 1 more time. Fasten off (distribute the strands and fasten them in opposite directions to avoid lumps).
