HEAD BAND:
PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS.
----------------------------------------------------------
HEAD BAND:
Worked back and forth in one piece, and then sewn tog mid back when finished. Cast on 23 sts on needle size 6 mm with Andes. Work first row as follows from RS: Work A.1 (= 10 sts), work 3 sts in stocking st and finish with A.2 (= 10 sts). Continue the pattern like this - NOTE: Do not work edge sts in each side, i.e. Work all sts as shown in diagram. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures approx. 50 cm (or desired length) - finish after 1 whole repetition vertically, work 1 row in stocking st before casting off.
Sew tog cast-on edge and cast-off edge - sew edge to edge with grafting/kitchener stitches to get a flat seam.
----------------------------------------------------------
NECK WARMER:
GARTER ST (back and forth):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.
PATTERN:
See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS.
----------------------------------------------------------
NECK WARMER:
Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 31-33 sts on needle size 7 mm with Andes. Work first row as follows from RS: A.1 (= 10 sts) and then GARTER ST over the remaining sts - see explanation above. Continue back and forth like this until piece measures approx. 22-24 cm (measures along ridges up from cast-on edge) – insert 1 marker at end of row (seen from RS). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Continue until piece measures approx. 70-75 cm and cast off all sts.
ASSEMBLY:
Sew cast-off edge to left side of piece (seen from RS) between cast-on edge and marker inserted in the side – sew neatly edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam (cable edge should be out towards the shoulder).
