PATTERN:
See diagram A.1. Work diagram in tr, i.e. 1 square in diagram = 1 tr.
DOUBLE YARN TIP:
Use yarn from both inside and outside of the ball.
COLOUR CHANGE:
When changing colour work like this: Before pulling through the last loop on hook, change colour and make the last pull through with the new colour.
CROCHET INFO:
On every tr row replace first tr with 3 ch. Work the 3 ch in the same colour as first tr in diagram A.1. I.e. when switching colour at beg of round, work 1 sl st in first tr with the new colour, then 3 ch (= 1 tr).

CARPET:
Worked in pattern with 2 colours at a time, back and forth. Work 71 ch on hook size 7 mm with 4 strands shocking pink - READ DOUBLE YARN TIP. Work 1 tr in 4th ch from hook (= 2 tr) - READ CROCHET INFO, 1 tr in each of the next 3 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 tr in each of the next 7 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire row = 61 tr. Then work A.1 and READ COLOUR CHANGE. Cut and fasten the yarn when necessary. Make sure that the unused colour is on WS of piece and does not tighten the piece. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, fasten off.
