DROPS Easter: Knitted DROPS pot holders with chicken pattern in ”Paris”.

Measurements: Approx. 24 x 24 cm
Materials:
DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio
100 g colour no 35, vanilla
100 g colour no 17, off white
50 g colour no 38, raspberry
50 g colour no 41, mustard
50 g colour no 29, light ice blue

Yarn is enough for 2 pot holders.

DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) SIZE 4 mm - or size needed to get 20 sts x 27 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 4 mm - for crochet edge.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1 (= 42 sts). The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS. Work entire pattern in stocking st.

POT HOLDER:
Worked in the round on circular needle.
Cast on 84 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with vanilla. K 1 round. Insert 2 markers in the piece; one in the 1st st and one in the 43rd st (= in each side). Then work according to diagram A.1 2 times in width in total. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, cast off with vanilla.

CROCHET EDGE:
Work edge on hook size 4 mm with vanilla. Work from RS through both layers. Start at the top in the left corner and crochet around the edge of the pot holder as follows:
ROUND 1: Crochet 1 dc in the corner, then crochet 1 dc in every st around the entire edge and finish with 14 ch for strap. Fasten the strap with 1 sl st in dc in the corner at beg of round.
ROUND 2: Work * 3 ch, 1 dc in the first of the 3 ch (= 1 picot), skip 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 14 dc around the strap and 1 sl st in sl st from previous round. Fasten off.

Knit another pot holder.
