Materials:
DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio
50 g colour no 15, black

DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 3.5 mm – or size needed to get 18 dc = width 10 cm.

CROCHET INFO:
Replace first dc at beg of every dc round with 1 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round.

2 HTR TOG:
* Make 1 YO, insert hook in next st, get yarn *, repeat from *-* one more time, make 1 YO and pull yarn through all 5 sts on hook.

2 TR TOG:
Work 1 tr but wait with last pull through (= 2 strands on hook), then work next tr but on last pull through, pull yarn through all sts on hook.

MASK:
Work 58 ch on hook size 3.5 mm with Paris. Work 1 tr in 28th ch from hook, work 1 tr in each of the next 3 ch, finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round = 27 ch on each side of the 4 tr (= over the nose) = 62 sts in total on round. Cut the yarn, pull it through st and fasten. Turn piece and beg to work and count sts in opposite side of the 4 tr as follows (see illustration – RS should face outwards): Skip 12 ch, and beg next round in next ch.
ROUND 1: READ CROCHET INFO! Work 1 dc in each of the first 9 ch, 2 dc in next ch, 1 dc in each of the next 8 ch, 1 sl st in each of the next 4 tr, 1 dc in each of the next 8 ch, 2 dc in next ch, 1 dc in each of the next 9 ch, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 20 ch, finish round with 2 dc in last ch = 62 dc and 4 sl st.
ROUND 2: Work 1 dc in each of the first 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 8 dc, 1 sl st in each of the next 4 sl sts, 1 dc in each of the next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 5 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 20 dc, finish round with 2 dc in last dc = 68 dc and 4 sl sts.
ROUND 3: Work 1 dc in each of the first 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 8 dc, 1 dc in each of the next 4 sl sts, 1 dc in each of the next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 7 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of the next 20 dc, finish round with 2 dc in last dc = 78 dc. Fasten off.

TIES:
ROW 1: Work 74 ch, turn and work 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook (= 2 dc), work 1 dc in each of the next 2 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 dc in each of the next 4 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire row = 60 dc, turn.
ROW 2: REMEMBER CROCHET INFO! Work 1 dc in every dc. Turn.
ROW 3: Work 3 ch, 2 TR TOG – see explanation above, 1 tr in next dc, 2 HTR TOG – see explanation above, 1 htr in next dc, 1 dc in next dc, finish with 1 sl st in next dc. Fasten off.
Work another ribbon the same way.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew a tie on each side of mask. 3rd row on tie should face upwards and in towards the mask. Bottom edge of tie should be in line with the middle of opening for eye.
