Knitted DROPS carpet in garter st with fringes in 3 strands ”Paris”.

Yarn group C+C+C

Measurements: approx. 52 cm in width and 94 cm in length, without fringes.
Materials:
DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio
650 g colour no 17, off white
150 g colour no 101, light blue
150 g colour no 30, grey blue
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (80 cm) SIZE 6 mm - or size needed to get 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking st or 22 rows in garter st with 3 strands = 10 x 10 cm.
GARTER ST (back and forth):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.
STRIPES:
Work as follows:
STRIPE 1: 11 ridges with 3 strands off white.
STRIPE 2: 11 ridges with 1 strand off white, 1 strand grey blue and 1 strand light blue.
Repeat 1st and 2nd stripe 3 times more (= 4 times in total) and then repeat 1st stripe once more = 9 stripes.

CARPET:
Cast on 57 sts on circular needle size 6 mm with 3 strands, work in GARTER ST and STRIPES - see explanation above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION. Cast off after the 9th stripe. Fasten fringes in every st along both cast-on and cast-off edge as follows: Cut 2 lengths of off white of approx. 28 cm. Fold them double and pull the loop through a st, then pull yarn ends through the loop.
