Knitted DROPS pot holders as lemon and orange in "Paris".

POT HOLDER LEMON AND ORANGE
Measurements: Diameter: approx. 24 cm
Materials:
DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio
100 g colour no 14, strong yellow or
100 g colour no 13, orange
50 g colour no 16, white

DROPS STRAIGHT NEEDLES SIZE 3.5 mm - or size needed to get 20 sts x 40 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm.

POT HOLDER:
Worked back and forth on needle in a circle with short rows and sewn tog when finished. The whole pot holder is worked in garter st, i.e. K all rows.
Cast on 22 sts with white Paris on needle size 3.5 mm.
Start by working 1 repetition with short rows as follows: * Work with white and work over all sts (from and with 2nd repetition work 2 rows with white) - do not cut the yarn, use this on next repetition. Switch colour and then work with strong yellow for the lemon or orange for the orange as follows: Slip 2 sts, work over the next 20 sts, turn piece and work back and forth over the 20 sts, work over the first 18 sts, turn piece and work back, work over the first 16 sts, turn piece and work back - continue like this until 2 sts remain, work over the first 2 sts, turn and work back. Then work over 20 sts - do not cut the yarn (use this on next repetition). Slip the 2 white sts back on needle *. Repeat from *-* until 12 repetitions have been worked in total.
Switch colour to white, then work a strap from last st on needle as follows: * 1 YO, pass st over YO *, repeat from *-* until strap measures 6 cm. On next row cast off all sts with K.

ASSEMBLY:
Tighten tog the middle and fasten the yarn tightly. Sew tog the cast-on and cast-off edge with white.
