Materials: DROPS PARIS from Garnstudio
For 2 pot holders:
100 g colour no 17, off white
100 g colour no 12, red
100 g colour no 23, light grey
some left-over colour no 14, strong yellow - for halo
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) SIZE 4 mm - or size needed to get 19 sts x 25 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 4 mm - for crochet edge.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1 (= 40 sts). The diagram shows the pattern seen from RS.

POT HOLDER:
Worked in the round on circular needle.
Cast on 80 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with off white. K 2 rounds. Insert 2 markers in the piece; one in the 1st st and one in the 41st st (= in each side). Then work A.1 - see explanation above - 2 times in width. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, cast off with off white. Use some left-over strong yellow to embroider halo for each angel.
CROCHET EDGE:
Work on hook size 4 mm and off white. Fold the piece double - see folding edge in diagram. Start at the top in the left corner and crochet around the edge of the pot holder, through both layers as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 1 dc in the corner, * skip 1 cm, 1 dc *, repeat from *-* around the entire pot holder, finish with 14 ch for loop and 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round.
ROUND 2: Work * 3 ch, 1 dc in the first of the 3 ch (= 1 picot), skip 1 dc, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* around the entire pot holder, finish with 14 dc around the loop and 1 sl st in sl st from previous round. Fasten off.
