DROPS Extra 0-926 DROPS design: Pattern no ne-009-bn Yarn group C ---------------------------------------------------------- Size: 2-4 years and 5-7 years Materials: DROPS NEPAL from GARNSTUDIO 50-50 g colour no 1101, white 50-50 g colour no 3720, medium pink DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 5 mm or size needed to get 14 tr = 10 x 10 cm.
CROCHET TIP: To make the beginning edge elastic, start with more ch sts than you will work into on second round. ---------------------------------------------------------- CROWN WITH HAIR: Work on hook size 5 mm with Nepal. ROUND 1: Crochet 72-84 ch with white and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 2: Read CROCHET TIP! Work 1 ch, * work 1 dc in each of the next 3 ch, do not work the 4th ch but skip this st , repeat from -* the entire round = 54-63 dc (divisible by 9). Finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc on round. ROUND 3: Switch to pink. Work 1 ch, work 1 dc in every st the entire round = 54-63 dc. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc. ROUND 4: 3 ch, 1 tr in first dc on round below, then work 1 tr in every dc = 54-63 tr, finish round with 1 sl st in first tr on round. ROUND 5: 1 ch, work dc in every tr on round below, finish with 1 sl st in first dc on round. ROUND 6: 3 ch, 1 tr in first dc on round below, then work 1 tr in every dc = 54-63 tr, finish round with 1 sl st in first tr on round. ROUND 7: 1 ch, work dc in every tr on round below, finish with 1 sl st in first dc on round. ROUND 8: 1 ch, 1 dc in first dc on round below * 3 ch, 1 dc in next st, skip the next 3 sts, in next st work as follows: 4 dtr, 4 ch, 1 tr in 1 ch, 4 dtr, skip the next 3 sts and in the next st work 1 dc , repeat from -* the entire round. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc. Fasten off. HAIR: Make fringes for hair by cutting strands twice as long as you want the hair. Count 4 strands in every fringe. Insert a hook from WS through 2nd and 3rd round between every st along approx. half the edge of crown. Pull yarn through to the middle to make a large loop. Pull yarn ends through this loop and tighten.
