Knitted slippers in garter st with crochet border for baby and children in DROPS BabyMerino DROPS Baby 20-13 DROPS design: Pattern no BM-006-by -------------------------------------------------------- Size: 1/3 - 6/9 - 12/18 months (2 - 3/4) years To fit foot length: 10-11-12 (14-16) cm Materials: DROPS BABY MERINO from Garnstudio 50 gr for all sizes colour no 05, light pink 50 gr for all sizes colour no 01, white DROPS POINTED NEEDLES size 2.5 mm - or size needed to get 26 sts x 51 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm. DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 3 mm - for crochet border.
SLIPPER: Worked in garter st back and forth on needle, i.e. K all rows. Cast on 41-45-53 (61-73) sts on needle size 2.5 mm with light pink. Insert a marker in the middle st. Work 2 rows back and forth on needle. Now inc on every other row (i.e. every row from RS) as follows: inc 1 st each side and 1 st each side of st with marker (= 4 inc) 2 times and then inc 1 st each side of st with marker (= 2 inc) 1 time = 51-55-63 (71-83) sts. Continue back and forth on all sts until piece measures approx 3-3.5-4 (4-4.5) cm from cast on row. Now dec 2 sts on row by K2 tog on each side of st with marker. Repeat the dec on every other row a total of 3 times = 45-49-57 (65-77) sts. On next row from RS cast off the middle 23-25-29 (33-39) sts = 11-12-14 (16-19) sts left each side. Complete each side separately. Cast on 10-11-12 (13-14) new sts at the side over the cast off sts = 21-23-26 (29-33) sts (= strap). Work 4 rows back and forth on needle, then cast off all sts. Work the other side in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew slipper tog mid under foot and mid back. CROCHET BORDER: Crochet a border along cast off row with white and crochet hook size 3 mm as follows, beg in corner of strap: * 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 tr in the first of the 3 ch, skip approx 1 cm , repeat from -* and finish with 1 sl st in the other corner of strap. ASSEMBLY: Cross over the straps and attach with a neat st to each side on slipper.
